Tak. Lain. A-Levels belajar 3-5 subjects for a year - two years, then exam at the end of the year. ADFP every semester tukar subjects.

kak syaza. nak tanya.. macam mana kalau nak apply intec melalui scholarship? did we have to tell them during interview or what?

roshafina
Depends. Sponsors biasanya ada certain colleges yang dyorang memang akan hantar scholars, so macam dyorang takkan hantar gi INTEC. But for them yang ada hantar scholars pergi INTEC, boleh try tanya la.

so basically between living on campus and renting with friends which one is more cheaper in a period of one year?

Normally, renting would be cheaper. If you're lucky, you can find a place for about $300-$500 per month, with electricity and gas as well.

mind to share any web page that u always visit on the internet ?? hopefully the one that contains various world wide issue.

Ehhh, I don't. Not really. I mean, occasionally I read the New York Times and any random newspapers I see at work (at the library), but yeah, that's basically it. I don't usually do any reading online. Not much, anyway.

btw what is the cost of housing in your campus?

On campus housing? It'd be roughly around $7000 - $9000 for a semester year, depending on which hall you choose to live in. Some cost more than the others based on the rooms (single, double, with a toilet in side), AC availability and others.

So i can know the average monthly expenses as an international student that are currently studying in the US. I'm surveying monthly expenses by international students in universities all around the world :)

Expenses depends on where you live, what you eat and how much you spend outside of the necessities. Rent cost around $350 - $600, depending on where and what type of place you live at. I live on campus, so my parents pay for my housing. Food and groceries can cost you about $200-$300 a month, depending on if you prefer to cook every day or eat out and stuff. Per semester books would cost about $100-$200, depending on what courses you're taking. Random stuff like phone bills and internet might be about $100.

what do you eat for lunch everyday? do you cook or eat from the cafeteria in your university?

I don't eat lunch. I have either brunch or a late lunch/tea or early dinner. Sometimes I cook. Sometimes I just eat sandwiches. Or buy food if I'm lazy.

Why do you choose to take sponsorship from MARA rather than taking sponsorship from JPA?

Technically MARA's a loan, not a sponsorship.
And I didn't even know about JPA until it closed. So, yeah.

i am solemnly reading every pieces of your "blog art" lol. hope that i can gain something. tq

"Blog art"? :D Hikhik.

what do u mean by "I was tired of the rigid education structure in Malaysia that limits my personal growth, that controls what I think and what I do." may explain more?

Look at SPM and what it did to the students.
Students are being taught to memorize facts and figures, and they ended up being copying machines and spitting out answers during the exams. SPM has become a battle of finding out who's better at memorizing things instead of who understands the materials better.
I never liked memorizing stuff. Like, even for Add Maths and all. I actually enjoy questions that asked you to prove a formula, and knowing where and when to use them, instead of just writing it out. I enjoy questions that challenged you to think in a different way.
There was one instance in one of my Agama class, in Form 5, when we were talking about something (I can't remember what). I was questioning what our Ustaz said in class, and I was asking for more information about it. And you know what his reply was? "Saya Ustaz, kamu pelajar. Saya betul. Dah, kamu senyap." (or something like that)
What the---? Like, seriously? Is that how you teach your students to think and grow? You're not even letting them ask questions?
Malaysian's education system is a little bit like that. It's rigid. You got to stick to the syllabus. You can't run off and talk about something outside of the textbook.
But here? Ask any random questions you want, and your teacher would gladly answer them. You're free to choose, to learn, to explore what you want.
Being the rebellious person I am, I enjoy that. I hate being told what to do and what to learn. I want to choose for myself what to learn about.
