Tak ada yang 'direct' boleh pergi UK terus sebab kalau tak ada offer / tak lepas results, tak boleh fly jugak. And semua kolej bagus je for A-Levels.

So my best friend did her A-Levels and flew to RCSI in Dublin. She did her 2.5 years there, and is now back in Penang for another 2.5 years in Medicine. And she's a private student.

Salam, akak, now spm leavers can only apply for scholarships after results keluar kan. Can you teach me how to apply courses yang kita nak amik? And kalau nak pergi oversea, memang kena amik a level @ foundation kan? So maksudnya kita sit for a level bru study course yang kita nak ke?

Ada je certain scholarships dah buka and boleh apply pakai results trial. Tapi most akan mintak results SPM yang sebenar.

Kalau nak sambung luar negara, yes, kena ada program pra-university yang specific. Either A-Levels, IB, ADP, AUSMAT, or any of the international pre-university programs yang ada. Asasi, Matrikulasi, STPM dan Diploma jarang digunakan untuk ke luar negara, ALTHOUGH ada je yang buat macam tu.

And yes. Kau nak study apa-apa pun kat universiti nanti, kau kena buat at least setahun / dua tahun program pra-university, seperti yang disenaraikan di atas.

oh, i thought you, studying actuarial science have interest in economics. are they two different things? i thought actuarial science is just one of the branches of economics..? or did i think wrong..

An 'interest' in Economics, probably.

An in-depth understanding of how things work, meh, not my cup of tea.

And the fact that I'm 'studying' Actuarial Science in and of itself my way of building up my interest in the business world, and have no guarantee whatsoever that I know everything there is to know about the business world.

(And Actuarial Science & Economics are super different, by the way. Both involve the business world, yes, but the fact that Actuarial Science is more of calculating risks and interest theories and annuities and a bunch of life contingencies that I have yet to start learning so yeah it's different in that way)

Dude. Kau ingat syarikat pandang budak yang belajar luar negara je ke? Habis tu, bebudak pandai yang tak nak belajar luar negara sebab nak jaga keluarga ke, sebab tak berkemampuan nak pergi luar negara, yang ada masalah kesihatan semua, macam mana?

Belajar luar negara tak semestinya orang pandang hebat okay. Kalau kau belajar luar negara tapi keputusan hampeh hancur teruk, memang tak ada nya orang nak ambil kau kerja nanti, walaupun degree kau tulis kau graduate daripada University of Harvard sekali pun.

MARA, I'm not so sure. 'Cause my best friend took IGCSEs and did her A-Levels, tapi still cannot apply for MARA sebab takde SPM. But other scholarships may be available. You'd have to call them and ask specifically.

No, I did not. I only did my A-Levels halfway, so I didn't sit for any papers other than the Maths modules (in which I got 3A's and 1C -.-).
