It's not really wajib to wear a hijab. It's wajib to cover your aurat. I mean you can get by with a paper bag on your head, wrapped in loose toilet paper, it would still be covering your aurat. But people generally associate hijab as covering your aurat. It's not necessarily the same thing in a way.

I stand corrected, though when talking to my non-Muslim friends here who have probably personally met 10-20 Muslim friends in their lives, I rather not confused them with the difference between hijab, khimar, jilbab and all that. It's good enough for me that they respect the piece of cloth I put on my head every day, and know that I won't go out without it. :)
But, yeah, people generally feel that covering your aurah = wearing a hijab, which doesn't necessarily do the job completely some of the time. :)

Get an A for biology is good enough kot for me. Even kalau A- pun dah terlebih ok dah kan? Cc: person who asked about biology

Hello, when you received your university offers, when did you inform INTEC or MARA? Is it necessary to inform them ASAP so that they will be aware that you intend to fly first year? How's the overall process after receiving offers basically? Thanks for answering :)

Hi :)
I was pretty close to Dr Azlin (the former head of program) and Encik Zainoddin at OSSP, so I forwarded any emails regarding acceptance offers straight away after receiving them.
You don't have to inform MARA about it, 'cause after all your offers are in, Encik Din would give you a form to fill in, with all your universities that you applied to, and the results (Rejected, Accepted, Waitlisted), and you'd have to choose which is your first choice. He would then forward it to MARA, and MARA will get back to you with the university that they approve for you (most of the time, they'd agree to your first choice, except in certain circumstances that they disagree)

What would you want to name your first son?

I don't know. It depends, I guess? I mean like, I wanted to name all my children after my husband and I, like my name is SN, and my husband, say, for example his name is AA, then I want my children to have names that are either SA or NA.
So it depends on who my husband is :D

sorry my bad . i meant, in paper 2, what is the minimum range for a+ ? is it enough to get around 65-70....?

Lol I seriously don't know. I can't even remember the marking schemes and gradings and all -.- Just, like I said, don't worry too much about it. Start improving yourself, bit by bit. Just focus on doing better than you did the last time :)

I really hate it when people ask why do you wear hijab but she doesn't. It's like asking why is she lesbian and you're not? Btw, curious though. What was your answer for that question?

Probably the same answer to why she's a lesbian and I'm not. Different backgrounds and family history. Not everyone were brought up in a religious setting. Some were not lucky enough to have been to a Agama school. Some were not lucky enough to have parents who taught you the values of Islam when you were young. And as you grow up, when you learn about what Islam really is and what you really should do, it's not that easy to make a change. It's not easy to make a sudden decision. Sure, it's wajib to put on the hijab, but I rather have someone who takes her time to get used to wearing the hijab permanently, than forcing someone to wears it and in the end, just decided to take it off again.
I believe in giving constant support as you try to pull others to Islam, not forcing your beliefs onto someone. :)

oh really? thats pretty good then ;) i am a lil depressed bcs i used to shift the right terms to the wrong one. and since my biology never got an A+ , i feel that my expectation for this subj is lower than other subjs :( upon 100, how much it requires me to get an a+? (estimation)

Ehhh no idea. Grading changes every single year so you don't really know. Just do your best in the papers later. :)

Makcik makcik makcik. Thanks for the postcard : D Agak lama ar utk sampai since kau post in January kan, about last week like that baru sampai. Kerja2 menggunung sekarang T_T tu yang asyik dok lupa nak bagitahu kau ni

Aku post mid-January kot. Or entahla. Asalkan sampai, okay la tu. Hehehe. Itula pasal, tertanya-tanya gak dah sampai ke belum. Risau gak. Hihi. Okay Alhamdulillah. Study leklok atuk! :)

Muslim in us is minority. So is there any american who ask to you about islam? Like those weird questions. And if there any, how you answer the questions?

Well, I don't know if these questions would be considered as 'weird', but some of the questions I received are as follow:
1) Why do you have to wear the hijab?
2) So, do you have to wear it all the time? Even at home?
3) Isn't it hot?
4) So you've never kissed a guy? Even your boyfriend?
-- [This question was asked on a kayak on Lake Mendota, and to make it easier to understand (without bringing out verses from the Qur'an and stuff), I told her (my Kayak partner) about how women in Islam are told to 'save' their purity for their husbands only, so it's kind of like special for the husbands only. Which she found to be sweet and romantic, so yeah]
5) Why do you pray? When? Isn't it tiring?
6) I thought like all Muslim women wear black hijabs? Why is yours red/blue/pink/colored?
7) Why do you wear a hijab, and she doesn't?
That's basically those that I can remember at this time, but yeah. :)

oh ! tq for the tips :) hv u ever got an A+ in any tests either in form 4's @ form 5's ?

I don't think so. Probably an A, but never an A+. I got a B for Biology during trial.

hi kakak :) im 17 . mind to share how did u manage to get an A+ for Biology? since most of the questions require explanations, did u actually remember each n every reason for something to happen? how did u elaborate yr facts? thank you :)

I have absolutely no idea. And I'm not even joking here. Like, I seriously do not know how I got an A+ for my Biology. But then, my answers were, most of the time, random, I guess? I just write as how I know and remember them, even if it's a bit weird. (I'm known for writing long answers for simple questions).
Oh, and I don't memorize a lot of stuff. I kinda used my logic a lot.

what do you think about JAD-MJHEP scholarship? and mechanical engineering for women?

I don't know much about JAD-MJHEP scholarship, since I didn't really look into it and stuff so I can't comment on that.
As for the second question, well, it's basically up to you. If you're willing to work hard to prove yourself, then by all means, go ahead and do it. I never liked people who classified courses into gender-based categories. -.-

For instance, I wanna go to unis in the States but I don't get a scholarship from the government. I can still ask for a scholarship from the uni itself, right? Do you recommend that or not?

Yes. And it depends. Mostly yes though.

Kalau masuk intec private, lepastu after a year, dpt masuk terima masuk uni kat US, tapi tak dapat scholarship nak buat macam mana? Kena sambung kat Malaysia je la eh?

Takde ah. Kalau nak fly, fly la. Fly privately and try lagi apply scholarship. Banyak je Malaysians yang fly as private students.
