Of course they exist, but so do 'mama issues', It really depends, you can have women who have had their fathers in their life through out & still end up in a destructive relationship.
I think your next blog should be titled along the lines of "Have you already let the love of your life gone" or something similar. There are a lot of females/males out there that know they will never have it so good again
