are you planning to do tp for taiko or osu!mania ?

I doubt I have enough knowledge about those gamemodes to make a good difficulty algorithm. I might try to get in touch with some pros though to ask them to give me directions. But that's far in the future, don't expect it soon.

For now? Automated banner / userbar for signatures and userpages.

how about adding the top50 nomod list?

That way nomod plays of people might get counted while there are better scores (which aren't yet top50) are not. That's pretty inconsistent if you ask me... Not speaking about the unpredictability of overlapping with the top50 and other things. And of the fact that it would lenghthen the process of re-loading ranks by a factor of 2.

Is there a tp weighting page for all beatmaps or only a select few like Big Black and Airman?

There is no such thing as "tp weighting". However it gets directly influenced by the beatmap difficulty which you can check for any ranked (or manually added) beatmap in the beatmap difficulty listing:

Big Black seems to be rated lower than it should be - any particular reason why? Is it because sliderbreaks are much more common than misses?

The Big Black is right below Airman. In my opinion that's perfectly fine.

Are you going to write in a wiki something that explains how tp works exactly (or just giving guidelines like peppy did for pp)?

When it's done I will add a page explaining the mechanics.

how often does your system update?

At the moment whenever I decide to make it update. Will probably be once or twice a day in the end. Otherwise my IP would likely get banned from osu! for opening too many pages.

how about alowing people to upload their data/r folder to your website and then calculating from all the replays in there?

Because people could hack without fearing to get banned. Apart from that: Generating the scores from the replays would be a hassle aswell. Not speaking of the advantages that people who'd actively upload replays would have.

Damn man, your ranking system is so much better than peppy's! (and I say this when my rank according to your system is much lower than my pp rank) But why does it undervalue flashlight so much? Ascension to Heaven isn't even in Keigo's top 50 performances.

Flashlight gives a flat 10% bonus, HD a flat 5% one. Accuracy and mods like HD and DT have a bigger impact. I'm still working on balancing stuff, so it might get better.

Haha, great. Just a quick update, I just implemented querying for countries... so expect there to be flags and country ranking in a few hours when the player database is recreated.

I love tom points, they're much more accurate than pp - not perfect of course, but wow, huge improvement. Anyhow, a question about beatmap difficulty - why do none of the 4 hardest maps award tp to anyone? Sure, nobody can FC them, but FC isn't required for tom points, so I don't get it.

Misses exponentially decrease the value of your score. Since I can't see where misses occured (I can't even properly check what the maxcombo of the map is) unless I simulate a replay I have to take this approach. I'll try experimenting with a slightly less punishing malus, but don't expect tag maps to go up in value.

Didn't even think about that. Wouldn't be hard to implement, might be in there tomorrow. :>

No. It only values the best scores. An approximate rule would be that your 20 best scores matter and your 5 best scores matter a lot. The exact formula is: Applied value = Value of score * 0.9 ^ (#of score).

Yes. I would take more into account if I could, but I highly doubt peppy would give me access to his database. Thus I can only use what's displayed on the website.
