It seems like the normal and the hard difficulty of this map (http://osu.ppy.sh/b/277083&m=0) didn't calculate: http://osutp.net/scores?bid=277649 http://osutp.net/scores?bid=277083 If you want a break from learning for exams you can fix it :>

Gonna look into it when I find time. If I had to guess it'd be because of some weird format changed in beatmap files... or some faulty .osu file from the direct download link. Happens for quite a few maps, so I might have to just copy the file from my pc after extracting the osz. Shouldn't be a problem to fix.

I feel like the penalty for not FCing is too harsh right now. For example, lewa lost 1/3 of his possible tp on http://osutp.net/scores?bid=142954 for having a single miss on the entire map and no other non-300s.

In my (and many other's) opinion osu! is a combo based game just as it is an accuracy based game. There is a big difference between 1 miss and full combo, even if it sounds minor. Having a miss can mean that you can only play without error for half the time than someone with an FC in the worst case (your miss being right in the middle). tp already is lenient with combo scaling - lewa a bit more than half of the max combo and gets more than 2/3 of the tp.

how long have you had your 6gv2? Do you get tired quickly when playing osu? Do you recommend someone getting it for osu? question bomb

Almost 2 years, only when singletapping fast for a long period of time (see the Death Collab maps by Star Stream and winber1). At fast streams my fingers just stop working - doesn't even hurt or get tired.
Also, I'd recommend it because of it's durability. Can't say that for sure though because in contrast to my experience people (I think thelewa aswell) stated that their model broke quickly. Apart from that you should probably get the red switches version instead of the black one.

No idea if this was anywhere here, but mod-specific rankings for tp?

Might come at some point. At the moment I am learning non-stop for the upcoming exams and most likely will be busy until mid-end next month with them. So don't expect updates very soon.

http://ask.fm/Tom94/answer/55865087182 Errr....terrible wording by me. I meant the difficulty your calculator calculates for a map (referred to as "Level" on osu!tp).

It uses only aim and speed value, while those are computed per HitObject. So in theory I could also compute the level per HitObject (combining aim and speed at that point already) and use that result. It would only be slightly different.

Ah, I just saw the changelog. You renamed jumps to aim on web, but not in the client version.

The client is still old as fuck.

Why does the diffcalc client show other levels for maps than the osutp website? Chipscape client: 154 - Web: 113 Big Black client: 214 - Web: 149 And is the "speed to aim ratio" (web) the same like the "speed to jumps ratio" (client)?

The client is old as fuck.

Is the overall difficulty of a map using your calculator determined using only the overall aim and speed values or is it calculated per hit object?

Are you talking about the value, that the website calls "OD" or "Overall Difficulty"? If yes then it's a value specified by the mapper which determines how hard it is to get 300s by being in rhythm. Nothing to do with aim or speed values. It is used to calculate the accuracy rating.

do u think ppv2 is retarded on a scale from 1-10 1000?

Yes, I do think ppv2 is retarded on a scale from 1-10. I don't know where though.

So... Do you think ppv2 is an improvement over ppv1 or not?

The original iteration of ppv2 on a spreadsheet looked more or less better than pp to me. But I can't call the current situation an improvement.

Do you ever delete scores for any reason?

No. However I only store the highest score of a player on a particular beatmap. That means if you set a new highscore TP will discard the old one and store the new one.

andrea goes up in ppv2 and it's a step in the right direction :D

Even I sometimes make mistakes. I'm curious for the "best performance" lists. On the spreadsheet my best performances were random Bs on tag4 maps... and some random #200 rank on Hello Seattle HD DT.
Weird.

Could you please list the people that you know of that have passed Holy Orders Remix [94] or link some liveplays of people passing if you know of any?

I don't have any replays. I passed it. Niko, val0108 and jesse1412 passed the old version, but that didn't include the crazy 270 bpm deathstreams. Niko could probably still pass. jesse1412 almost passed and then failed at some retardedly easy part. You suck, bro. <3

When you were at your best, were you better or worse than ShadowSoul is now?

Skill is a very subjective thing. I don't know, probably yes. His main weakness are fast streams.

Why the tp records store the record with most score and not the one that gives most tp?

Because I want it to remain consistent with the official scoreboards. Also the tp algorithm is not a fixed thing - it will change - and that would cause even more inconsistency with previously dismissed scores.

I lost tp after improving my score on http://osu.ppy.sh/b/142239 from 100tp to 130tp but overall i lost 8 tp. Is there a bug here?

Depends. Probably just an extreme cornercase. If you don't tell me your exact scores and mod combinations I can't say any more though.

Hello. If I do SS on a map with an unstable rate of 80, will I get more tp than If I do a SS with an unstable rate of 180 ?

No. Even if I wanted I couldn't make it like that because I don't have access to replay specific data.

Say I had a score in the top 50, then it gets pushed out and I improved it without getting in the top 50. Would my previous score be erased from my tp records?

No.
