Do you think you can calculate pattern difficulties later? Then I'll look forward to it, because it'll give much more points to old maps, which I play very often.

I have no idea how accurate I can make it. Testing will show.

Does a FC give more pp then a fake Fc like if a map has 1k combo and you do 999 or 998 you get less pp?

Yeah. It doesn't give much less pp, but it does give slightly less due to the combo scaling.

Does the new star difficulty correlate with the pp output? For example, 99% on a 3 star will give less than an identical accuracy on a 3.1, which is less than 3.2, etc.

To a certain degree. The components of the difficulty (e.g. speed, aim, AR, etc in standard) correlate with pp, so the overall difficulty also does, but consistently. You can view it as a guideline.

Any comments on the new star difficulty system (on the maps' webpages)? And how long until the actual game implements it?

Only ranked / approved maps got their new difficulty values to far. Non-ranked maps still have their old stars, but this is subject to change.
Can't say how long it'll take for stuff to get ingame, though. Since the difficulty calculations are quite heavy the difficulty data will have to be downloaded and cached clientside in the future.

that player is an obvious cheater, he had a score in top15 or so acc for months and nothing happens, dont change your tp system to cheaters, get rid of the cheaters instead.

I did make an error with the accuracy calculations, though. I was testing around with some stuff locally and accidentally uploaded a semi-broken calculator. It's already fixed again.

The beatmap difficulty star is a bit confusing. Can you explain a bit?

What do you mean? It seems, that on the website peppy already uses the stars calculated for pp to display where they are available. (All ranked maps for now.)

Do you lose pp for not playing? I was thinking that if you'd have 2 people who play the exact same scores and get the exact same pp, but the other one does it during like one week and other one does it during a half year. Would they still have the same pp or would the one who did it first have less?

Both would end up with the same pp. There is no pp decay anymore. However if someone doesn't play for a few months, then he gets marked as inactive and no rank is shown. Doing one single new score brings back the rank however.

Performance: [Tom94] Fix some standard beatmaps getting too high aim pp values. Is that the only change? I gained 60pp, how is that possible if that's the change? Was pp scaled to compensate?

pooptartsonas’s Profile Photopooptartsonas
Yes, it was scaled to compensate. It means most of your best performance scores weren't affected by the bug. Other people lost some pp.

Is there an update for pp right now? I made a record on a map which I haven't played before and just lost 14 pp. I made another record on another map about an hour ago and nothing changed on pp, but this one made me confused.

Yup. You can see it in the changelog.

A lot of people have been complaining about DT giving too much pp, which, due to the way DT is handled, would likely mean that most people feel fast maps in general are overrated. Is it possible that the way strain decay is handled could be at fault? That could overweight maps at certain speeds.

Please state what gamemode you are talking about. I have no way of magically knowing. Apart from the strain decay is exponential. If anything, then it favors slower maps. In standard most people complaining about DT giving too much are the people who can not play it and want their own scores to give a similar amount of points. :P

Why chipscape will suddenly emerge from ruruchi's best pp performance?

It's a bug which has been fixed already. The fix will become visible in the next few days.
