http://ask.fm/Tom94/answer/50673004750 if it is more random, how is it a step in the right direction?

In general the better players raised in rank and the worse dropped. However the order of those "better" or "worse" players is more random.. like SG rating insanely high.
Also the top performance scores are often very easy to get. Just check out my best performance scores which rank me 28th in ppv2. There are friggin NoFail Bs in there which aren't even top50. And those are not hard scores.

You mentioned that you use the lowest possible strain value for going from one note to another - do you take into account the fact that you can't actually hit every note that way (since going from edge of one note to edge of the next note probably leaves you out of position to hit the next note via

Yes, it is taken into consideration, don't worry.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFvF8Md_kX8 how much tp is this worth? i'm totally not lewa

Even though I doubt you're lewa I was interested, too. So I manually calculated it.
While aim is pretty low (didn't bother calculating it, around 40) speed rating is at 105 and accuracy rating at 141, making it lewa's 4~5 and overall ~20 most accurate score in osutp.

Is there anything wrong with the calculation of the tp? I just calculated mine, it shows i only have 284 tp, but when i calculate it manually i would have more than 350++

1000

http://ask.fm/Tom94/answer/50997433294 I'm saying that there is no rhythm in overmapped maps. (like asgard and anthem) Overmapping is adding notes when there are no rhythm for the sake of patterns or flow.

Yes there is rhythm. Or do you think those overmapped notes are timed randomly? True, they add additional rhythm onto the song itself, but it still is rhythm that the human has to grasp, not visual reading.

do you think that if map A is harder nomod than map B, that it is possible for map B to be harder with DT than map A with DT?

Yes it is. Let's say A is higher, but the strain values don't have high peaks while B's strain valus have some higher peaks and some easier parts - not too many, or B would already be considered harder than A.
DT now makes those strain peaks in B skyrocket due to exponential scaling, while A's strain overall increases less than B's because of that.
This only occurs rarely though, and usually doesn't drive those 2 difficulties far apart.

I think hidden should affect accuracy more because of overmapped maps like asgard or anthem?

I don't see a reason why HD would affect accuracy by a lot. Good accuracy comes from rhythm, not seeing the HitCircles.

What do you think of ppv2?

Seems even more random than pp, but it still looks like a step in the right direction to me.

While it's true that the crazier maps do deserve a combo, I was referring to not being able to read high AR on a density which only displays one note at a time. (Granted, I should have been more specific.) I don't think in any way that a high AR on low density can be easier than a lower AR.

I agree, see previous answer. :)

If you implement pattern difficulty at some point in the future, do you think AR bonuses would be absorbed into that or would it remain a separate bonus?

I plan on absorbing pattern shape and circle density combines with AR into aim difficulty, but it will require a lot of testing. Also I will only start working on it when I am home again and when I find the time.
But yeah, AR won't remain a seperate bonus.

Why below 9? That would give players like me an insane advantage, I can't read AR10 and can barely read AR9. (I used to play AR10.86, but then I started playing EZ and neglecting high ARs)

It wouldn't give you an advantage, because (most likely) you are not playing crazy maps with low AR. Keep in mind that almost -all- maps with AR8 or below and pretty damn easy. And the hard ones like kirby mixes deserve some bonus imho.

Low ar should give more imo. Really undervalued skill.

Low AR already gives an insanely large bonus. However most low-AR plays are combined with Easy which greatly trivializes OD and aim. If there were sicker low-AR scores, then they would get rewarded more for it.
However I consider already giving a bonus for AR below 9 instead of below 8.

https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/p/2403913 useful? im not sure if peppy would let you but if he does that would be awesome

Currently I have access to there. But even in the unlikely case that I get excluded from the API I can still go back to website-scraping and osu!tp will continue to function.

why you hate fl pls

Why would I hate FL? I have great respect for FL players and FL already gives twice the amount of aim than HD. It's just that in my opinion (and according to the algorithm) DT / HR often increase map difficulty by way more than even a 36% bonus from FL. That's how hard the maps actually get.

If your plane was about to crash, who would you want sitting next to you?

I wouldn't want any additional person to die, lol. Wonder how many people doom their beloved ones to death in their answer.

who are you? you dont even have a birthday. weirdo

I prefer to stay anonymous in the internets, brah.
