That sounds like a more mod-centered version of the Aim / Speed / Acc separation which osu!tp had running. I think I personally prefer the osu!tp way and would love to bring it into the pp rankings when the necessary resources are available.

Do you agree that sudden death should give a slight bonus on aiming, while perfect mod should give a slight bonus on accuracy?

I disagree. The very same plays could give different amounts of pp depending on the chosen mods. That wouldn't make any sense.

And with the implements of new algorithms, the most popular DT farmland got even more fertile. https://osu.ppy.sh/b/323875 We're still live in a DT era, even though new Insane maps had their AR set at 8.5 or above 9. Is PP farming on not-so-hard DT maps the situation you wish?

You are talking about a completely separate issue to the AR change that will have to be addressed separately. Feel free to assist me with it by making a good pattern difficulty algorithm if you're not happy with the situation. ;)

When changes like this are made to pp, are profiles (top performances) updated one at a time, or can x amount be done at once?

Everything is in some way done sequentially. The databases and the pp processors work on multiple threads, but even then I wouldn't classify that as "at the same time". Let's just say things are updated one by one very quickly.

Do you think very high bpm single-tap maps will ever give more pp in the future? I see [ Beatrice ] with some amazing unbeatable scores but they are od 6 even though almost no one can acc them well and when they do no pp ;_;

That one is a lot harder to address than the fast streams thing. Probably not gonna happen very soon. :x

Hum I DO consider 270BPM as "normal" speed (not slow that's too much lol) since it's pretty much what I play as average BPM every day...

Isn't it still at least a bit exhausting to play? I personally consider "normal" as something you can just casually play while talking to someone and still get 99.X% accuracy.

http://ask.fm/Tom94/answer/125387383758 What is more interesting is that this guy relates his perspective logic only to streams. It's exactly the same with jumps, accuracy, reading and pretty much everything in the world. To make it a question, do you have an ETA for the high bpm stream buff?

Can't give any ETA yet.

before your top ranks are updated, are new scores that you set on it already shown with the increased PP values, or will they go up when the old ones do

New scores already have their new value in the best performances list.

What exactly will count as a high bpm stream? To someone that's never practiced streams, something like 160bpm could be fast. To someone like Kynan, 270bpm is slow/normal.

Slow / normal? It's crazy what kind of a warped perspective some people have on players. :p

ever considered a 'player rating' multiplier where certain players can moderate the amount of pp maps give? (lets say 50 top1000 players can give their input) like maybe a 0.95 to 1.05 multiplier. pattern complexity in my opinion is still subjective and the best way around that is through the comuni

I don't like the idea of something arbitrary like that since it can be abused. Also quite some extra effort to manage all that.

I suggest nerfing not-so-difficult farm DT maps instead of playing around with buffing high speed streams. Because buffing will make them even more farmable. Also I don't see how fast streams are underrated since you see DT scores in top pp everywhere.

Repeated jumps on patterns with acute angles seem to be the main offender in terms of overrated DT scores.

https://osu.ppy.sh/b/67204 in this map playing with HRDT is more difficult in both accuracy and reading than HDDT ,can you explain why this [http://puu.sh/fQwbr/5e52af3ac7.png] happen after changing HD and FL weight?

Slider Velocity for Taiko isn't really taken into account by the pp algorithm atm, so I suppose HR is a bit underrated because of that. If there is a lot of negative feedback about the magnitude of the HD and FL boni, then I'm happy to tune them down. Please post this feedback in the Taiko pp feedback thread.

Does all this mean that d.m.c. DT will get buffed star-wise, but rekt AR-bonus-thingy wise? Just for confirmation

Not sure of d.m.c. will actually get a buff or nerf. I'd be fine with it staying as it is while other things go higher.

Do you consider ar 11 (hddthr) to have a higher bonus in pp?

Tough call, mainly since just like FL it is memorization. Arguably even easier execution on top of the memorization due to not having everything around the cursor black all the time.

I'm glad that byoumei koiwazurai and best friends got nerfed (Honestly it's still kinda op) but i don't think it's right for hvick's top performances (besides remote control) to be nerfed THAT much...those are just absolutely insane in both aim and speed, what do you think?

I agree. Some maps got nerfed which didn't deserve it (mainly hoshizora). In general something needs to be done about some of these ridiculously overpowered DT maps - I hope do address this with pattern complexity at some point.

I was wondering why you buffed FL plays? FL seems to reward farmers most.

There are some insanely hard FL plays out there. Yes, it's farmable to some degree, but there also is skill involved in the execution. It was severely underrated before (in my opinion) and should still not really compare to hard scores with other mods.

Would it be possible to add a pp/time graph in the player profile? Or inculde it in the rank/time graph with a different colour?

Originally there only was a pp/time graph which was replaced by a rank/time graph due to "rank being the relevant metric for players". After experiencing all the confusion about rank changes by players I am not so certain this is true anymore, though.
