Hi! For tutorials that have been preallocated, am i allowed to use the 'add, drop, swap' function on CORS to change my timeslot? Or am i supposed to strictly follow my grouping?

Yes you may. However you need permission from office to do so!

Hi there you may go down to BBA office to try asking for a change of tutorial timings but it may not be processed unless you have a very good reason and also at their discretion.

Hi, for BBA honours, we have to take a total of 8 UEs, if i use 6 of them for specialisation mods, would it be considered a second major? or a minor? :)

Yes you can take in Y1S2 and no you cant check the mods that you are preassigned for Y1S2 until round 0 CORS Bidding for Y1S2

Hi, a freshie here! Would like to ask about modules overloading.. I have preassigned with 5 modules this semester.. however as I am approved to take up LPP from this semester, I would like to ask if I am allowed to take it up as the 6th module or I need to drop one assigned module as to take it?

Hi LPP freshies are not allowed to take 6 mods in the first semester. You can overload in round 3 from semester 2 onwards.

For BBA Honours, how many extra UE modules are required? Also, how many MCs are thesis and field service project worth respectively? Thanks!! (btw theres no other requirements for honours right? like is there final year project?? sorry im very confused!)

For BBA Honours, it's extra 5 UEMs. Thesis is 12 MCs and FSP is 8MCs. You need to have a CAP of 3.2 and above and the final year project is under FSP

Hi seniors, I am preallocated a biz mod that clashes with my LPP pre allocated mod. I can't seem to find anybody to swap either my biz or LPP lecture group with. If I am unable to find somebody before school starts, I will have to drop my LPP mod and bid for it via CORS which is close to-

Hi there, yes only the 16 core mods will be allocated to you by the BBA office. As to how long it takes to cover the mods, on average the office allocates 4 core mods per sem until you finish the core mods:)

Hi I'm a freshie and unknowingly i declared my minors and realised that I don't need to after that! Will it have any effect on the modules that i am preallocated this sem?

Hi if you are a BBA student, internships are self-sourced so you can find it during any holiday. If you are a BAC student, the compulsory 8 week internships can only be taken after you complete 3 compulsory accounting mods, ACC3601, ACC3603, ACC3605 which is usually earliest after Y2S1

Hi!! May I know if attendance is taken for the sectionals? This is becos I have sth really impt in 1st week of school and so I am unable to attend that particular sectional class. However, it is just for that week only! I was wondering if would I lose out on anything since its only week 1! Thanks!

Hi attendance is part of class participation marks in sectionals. Email the professor teaching your sectional, provide the reason and ask if there is another session you can join:)

Hi tutorials start in week 3, thus the lectures content will always be ahead of the tutorials. So regarding the timeslot, it is ok to take the tutorial session before the lecture. hope this helps:)

Hi taking bus 51,143,10,30 from haw par villa should be faster than taking the shuttle bus from kent ridge mrt. You can also take 183 from clementi mrt:) Hope this helps

Hi there some people may request to swap the lecture time slots if they are bidding for a GEM module that clashes with their lecture timing!

CORS prevents you from bidding for a module that clashes with your timetable!

Hi there it's a core foundational module! If you do not bid for it, it would eventually be allocated to you. If you don't have it allocated you can also choose to bid for it!

Hi there! Fret not, we have a few of us who are in the same predicament as you!

There are two options:
A) Start taking the lvl 3000 modules like you had mentioned. However if you want to spec in finance this may be a bit hard because they all require pre-requisites!

B) Wait till Round 2B, 6 August 2015, then appeal individually for the sectional modules that you did not get - there is a higher chance of you getting these modules then as well.

Yes, throughout the semester, there would be 'windows' where the majors are opened for application, for example, 'application for econs major' etc. You would just have to check your NUS email and apply accordingly when it comes :)

Hi there! There is no official platform for you to find someone that is willing to swap :( However, what you can do is go down to BBA Office, front desk, they have a registry there which would take note of your name and let you know if they manage to find someone who is willing to swap!

Hi there its okay no worries! for your batch, as of now, they do not refer to it as a SS or Breadth module, they call it a GEM Module!

So for now, you would have to just bid for a 5th module which would be a GEM Module :)
