Is it harder to be selected for SEP in the UK/US partner universities since more people tend to apply for it?

Hi there, that may be slightly true. However, the actual 'difficulty' of securing your place in a specific university depends on the number of places that university has opened for this semester's SEP :)

Hello, for year 1s, would the y1 biz and acct students take the same modules? How easily can an acct students transfer to biz and vice versa?

BAC students may simply transfer to BBA by dropping out of your course and into BBA instead.
However, for BBA students to transfer to BAC, you will have to do so at the start / end of the semester with a good reason and supported by your CAP. You will have a fill in a course transfer form or you will have to email the BBA Office to request for a transfer. From then, all liaisons will remain between you and the Office.

Im interested in specialising both finance (primary) and accounting (secondary) Are business students allowed to take acct modules? And are there many acct students second majoring/specialising in finance? Which path should i go for? Please advice thank you^^

Hi there! It is possible to transfer to the BAC (accounting) course, but generally BBA (business admin) students are not 'allowed' to take accounting modules. Hence, if you want to specialise in both finance and accounting, you will have to be a BAC student and not a BBA student.
There is a sizeable number of BAC students taking second specialisations in finance. Their unrestricted electives (UEs, modules you take that may or may not be from your home faculty) are used to fill in for finance modules instead :)
As for which path you should take, you should know that the BAC/Fin path involves rather heavy math and strong bell curves, but it is not uncommon among our students. If you have an interest in finance, investment banking, trading or working for the Big 4, then this double specialisation will be suitable for you :)

Hello there just asking for first Year BBA(accountancy) students,since everyone is taking the same modules, will the students be in the same class as the BBA students or will it just be accountancy students ?

BAC students will be likely to share classes with BBA students during the 1st and 2nd years :) With the exception of accounting-specific modules, which only BAC students will take. This includes ACC1006 at Year 1.

Hi there! All participants are required to stay overnight unless you have a valid reason that has to be disclosed to us beforehand! But again, you are very highly encouraged to stay with your peers!

Are orientation camps only opened up to freshies offered a place in biz school?

Are we still able to go on SEP in Y3S2? Is it recommended to do so?

It is not possible for students to go for SEP in Y3S2. The BBA Office only opens slots for Y2S2 and Y3S1.

Hello! I noticed that the Rag Camp is from 4-29 July. Which are the actual dates where we have to stay overnight? And is the camp only available for participants of the dance, float etc.?

Hi! Freshies will stay overnight for the weekdays, that is, from Monday to Friday from 4-29 July. You can go home on Friday nights and come back on Monday mornings. Of course, freshies will be accorded flexibility and if you have travel plans or other appointments, feel free to bring it up to your OGLs and they can work around it. And yes, the camp will only be available for participants of dance, float, as well as costumes. See you at RAG! :)

Will Y2S1 BBA students be pre-allocated with all the core modules? if not, whats the advice for a good basket in Y2?(same as Y1) thanks

Yes, core modules will be preallocated to you for Y2 as well.

I got enrolled into BBA programme, but I'm actually not very outspoken and pretty bad at presentations, willl i die in BBA?

Hi there! There are many business students here (though not the majority) who face the same concerns you do! There are some of them who can rise up to the occasion to step out of their comfort zones, and there are others who choose to S/U the presentation-heavy modules they do not fare well in. We cannot guarantee it will be an easy journey, especially with your concerns, but if you put in the effort to try, learn and step out of your comfort zone, we are positive that you will do just as well as anyone else here! :)

For biz rag, do we get to join as year 1s since the camp starts so early (before school commences)? Is it a full day camp? What do we do and do you need to be a good dancer to be qualified? Haha XD

Yes, all incoming freshmen are welcome to apply :) it is a full day camp and participants are required to stay overnight. No prior knowledge of dancing or artistic skills are required, so do join if you are really interested!

Greetings :) i would like to ask regarding advanced placement test. I will be marriculating next year, but how do i apply for it? Also, lets say if i score a grade B, do i get to S/U it, transfer the grade or choose not to be exempted (so i can obtain a bettee grade)? Thanks in advance :D

There will be a piece of paper in your BBA welcome mail, together with the NUS undergrad guide, that will instruct you on how to apply for the AP tests. If you're matriculating next year, then you should take the test next year as well.
If you receive a B grade, your best option is to S/U it so as not to pull down your CAP. However do note that S/Us only apply to level 1K and 2K modules without prerequisites. Grades are non-transferable as well and you cannot choose to 'exempt' yourself from it. There are no such options available :)

Hi, forr those of us who couldn't make it/got rejected for NBC16, do we stand a higher chance for O'week than those who went for NBC?

Hi there! O'Week is first-come-first-served basis so everyone has an equal chance! However, not to worry, O'Week has a lot more vacancies than NBC so most freshies will be able to join the camp (:

Hi there! No, you can't attend half of Business O'week, you have to choose one or the other.

How do I view my unofficial transcript? After pressing the "view report" button, nothing happens :(

The probable reason for that is your browser enables pop-up blockers which is why you cannot see your transcript. Do disable your blocker first and try again :)
We have tried it with and without the pop-up blocker; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If you require a copy of your transcript then the next best option is to request for one (fees apply) from the Student Service Centre at YIH :)

When is BizRag camp?

The actual camp starts from the 4th of july and will end on 29 july but the rag performance will only be on the 6 aug. There will also be precamp dance sessions and float sessions on mon tue and thur in june starting from 14 june. Your attendance for these sessions are highly encouraged as they will be part of the criteria for choosing our dancers.

Hi may I know when will the rehearsals/training for Rag&flag commence and how will the commitment be like? (and when's the actual event) thanks for answering so many questions in advance! (trying to plan my schedule in july/aug)

We will be holding dance lessons starting from 14 june in the evening on mon, tue and thur for the whole of june to prepare for dance auditions during the first week of july. We highly encourage you to come down for the dance sessions as attendance is taken into account when we choose our dancers.
Commitment for the actual camp in july itself will be from mon to fri. The rag performance day will be on 6 august. Thanks

Hello! Will it affect my camp experience a lot if i don't attend the precamp for nbc?

Hi, the precamp will be for settling of administrative details and getting to know your OG mates before the full camp programme starts proper. It will not heavily affect your camp experience, but we still highly recommend that you come for it if you can!
