What are the typical class sizes of lectures, sectionals and tutorials?
A lecture usually takes up to approximately 200 students, sectionals up to 45 people and tutorials usually up to 20 :)

Hi there! We are not sure if all freshies can access NUS websites yet, but please do be patient and try again at a later date, say, at the end of this month or in August. By then, it should work for you! If you are still not able to access it after school has started, you should contact NUS IT Care.

Hi, I am a BBA freshie. From the previous post, it states that we do not have to do any module bidding until O week. If i am required to take english modules (ES1000/ES1103), do I have to bid during round 1C?
Hi, yes, you may start bidding in Round 1C! However, it is also likely that ES modules will be up for bidding in later rounds, so you can bid in 1C or later :)
why is that for our pre-allocated modules, some are given as sectional teaching and some are lectures? Not all modules have both sectionals and lectures?
That is correct. Some lessons in biz are sectionals, while others are lectures/tutorials. There are no modules that have both sectionals and lectures.

Yes, you may :) The prerequisite DSC1007 for DSC2008 has been removed, so you may S/U DSC2008.

Yes, that is correct! Tutorials will only begin in Week 3.
Hi I'm Y2 BBA student and I'm allocated DSC2008, MNO2007 and ACC2002. Should I bid for another core mod (BSP2001 or BSP2005) though I might be allocated those next sem/year? If I don't take those core mods now, am I getting any pre-allocated mods in year 3, or from Y3 onwards I must bid for all mod?
It is likely that from Y3 onwards you may not be preallocated any modules and will have to bid or appeal for the core modules yourself. Whether you want to take an extra core module for this semester is entirely up to you and whether you will be able to handle the workload or not.
It is known that DSC2008 proves to be an extremely steep learning curve for most of the cohort, and MNO2007 requires a great deal of research into your project topic. BSP2005 is also known for its multiple weekly readings and a weekly test that when summed up, constitutes about 3-4% of your grade. As for BSP2001, the bell curve is very steep. As the person giving advice for this post, I am not sure about ACC2002. Given all these information (accurate as of last semester), you should then decide on your own!

Hi, could you please tell me more about the activity during Rag and Flag?
During rag, members of each faculty will put up a dance item and their performance will be aided with props / floats. The purpose of rag, aside from bringing faculty members together, is to allow faculties to show their appreciation to NUS and their sponsors. During O'Week there will be a rag showcase and freshies not in rag will be able to interact with their rag peers and watch their item.
During flag (held on Day 2 of O'Week), freshmen will be dispersed around Singapore to flag. The proceeds will go to each faculty's beneficiary. Flag Day will take up approximately the whole morning and afternoon of Day 2 :)

Hi, it means that you are in Sectional B7 of MKT1003. It is likely that you may ignore the numbers at the back as they are not indicative of your class or class timeslot!

Your sectional class timings can be checked by corresponding your code with the various sectional slots on nusmods. Your tutorial class timings will have to be balloted during Iteration 2; please check the CORS website for more details on he dates of balloting.
Can i pay the camp fees on 26/27 August?
That will be too late a time to pay your camp fees. Unless you have extenuating circumstances, all freshies will be expected to pay their fees promptly.

Hi, we would expect all freshies to be independent by now so your parents are not allowed to attend.

Probably 2-3am, but it's up to you what time you want to leave!

How long your reply takes depends on how long the BBA Office takes to process your request. Your new timetable will be updated within a few hours of their processing!

Hi,i have been allocated bfs2001.If i can make it for the preallocated time for some of the weeks,could i just make up the attendance by attending another session?thanks.
You will need to let your tutor know beforehand and he/she will likely allow you to do so. Attendance will be taken at every session and failure to attend may result in your failure of the module, so you need to make sure you inform your tutor.
May I know the difference between MNO1001 and MNO1001A? I am a Year 1 freshmen and I'm allocated MNO1001A :)
The alphabet suffix simply refers to different instructors or tutors teaching your class. So if MNO1001 has suffixes A, B and C, then there are 3 different tutors for that module.
Should incoming freshmen be able to access IVLE now? I am unable to do so even though I am certain that my username and password as correct.
