Heyys! I'm currently in Y1S2. I'd like to go on exchange in Y2S2, I read answers saying they'll take your Y1S2 cap. By Y1S2 cap do you mean CAP for purely sem 2 or collectively sem 1 plus sem 2 (whole Y1) CAP?

If I am planning to specialise in marketing, but I only got a B for my marketing, I was wondering if I should S/U it instead. I will be able to pull up my CAP if I S/U it but at the same time I am worried that it might affect my future career path. Please advise! Thanks a lot!

Hi! With regards to this matter, if you would like to specialise in marketing, you are still able to specialise in it regardless of your grade as there are no cut-offs for any specialisation.

We would recommend to S/U marketing if your average grade were to be above B+ and the current B is actually affecting your CAP. However, the office has stated that by SU-ing a module, the company that you apply to may question or may believe that the grade you got for Marketing is worse than the B you obtained.

Hence, for this matter, I believe that you should do what you truly believe in :) Hope this helps!!!

Hi! If you are a year 1 student, all SUs will be known as 'Year 1 SU' and the remaining SU that has not been used in Year 1 (maximum of 3) will be brought forward as floating :)

Hi, for a BAC student matriculating this August, may I know whether the overseas exposure under BBA curriculum 2017 is compulsory for all? What does the overseas exposure refers to - i.e. short 1-2 weeks study trip / internship / 1 sem exchange programme? What if students doesnt want to go ?

Hi! Currently, it is stated that it is compulsory for all students to at least get a chance to experience the different culture overseas as NUS Business school values a holistic education.

With regards to whether if the student does not want to go, please approach the BBA office when he/she is matriculated and perhaps, the BBA office can work something out with the student :) Hope this helps!

Does it mean that we have to take on 20MCs per semester in order to graduate within 3 years (w/o honour)) since the graduation requirement is 120MCs? How abt for those taking on Honour? How can they complete within 3.5years (for poly student with exemption)?

Hi! Graduating requirements are 120MCs for non-honours and 160MCs for honours. A minimum number of 18MCs must be completed each semester. Most students will complete about 24MCs per semester.

Students can complete the requirement within 3.5 years if they were to overload for a few semesters to ensure that they can hit the graduating required number of MCs.

Hi! With regards to minor, you would have to declare the minor during the bidding period :)
As long as you are able to map the required modules needed for the minor (24MCs) during sep, it can be fulfilled! hope this helps!

Hi! These are for administrative purposes. The different BBA's are just a classification for the different number of modules that a student completes :)

Hi! With regards to this query, it will depend on whether the module is a core/compulsory module.
If it is a core/compulsory module, a failing grade (F) or/and a U grade will make the module compulsory to retake. If it is not a core/compulsory, you would not need to retake the same module. Hope this helps! :)

Hi! This would mean that you would have more UEs as every student, regardless of admission year, will have to complete 160 MCs :) Hope this helps!!!

Hi, when I was doing module mapping for SEP, the schools I see on myisis do not include a lot of unis that are included in this time's exchange. (and there a lot of universities that are not on the exchange list but included in module mapping search.) What should I do? Thank you!
