Is it necessary to class part in every single seminar?
It is not necessary to class part in every single seminar. However, seminars with very high class part percentage, such as MKT1003 where class part is 30% of the grade, It is advised to do so :) remember, many professors look at quality not quantity! This means that even if you speak every lesson, it is not equivalent to a very good class part grade.

Hi, wheres the option to cancel a subject pool slot because I can't seem to find it? I accidentally registered for 7 instead of 6 slots when i only need 3h total. Or can i just not go on one of the slots i selected?
It should usually be on the right of each slot, but that was last semester and the interface may have been changed since then. Please inform your tutor / professor of this and seek for help. You will not be allowed to simply miss the extra one as every slot that you have signed up for and missed will incur an extra 1 hour worth of subject pool that is compulsory to you. Just ask your tutor for help! :)

hi, for SEP, how does the calculation of CAP work? which CAP will they take if i am applying in Y3S1?
Your Y1S2 CAP will be used :) 70% of your SEP score is constituted by your CAP; however, all final SEP calculations are done by the BBA Office and not made transparent to the student body.
is it possible to apply for BFS for 2nd half of this sem if i weren't pre-allocated it?
If you're not pre-allocated BFS, you will be allowed to appeal for it from the Career Services Office.
If I change course will this sem still be counted ?
It depends on which faculty you're transferring to - law, dentistry and medicine do not allow for the transfer of credits and you have to start on a clean slate. However, for all other faculties, your grades and MCs may be transferred to fill up your UE requirements :)
What is mno subject pool ? Must everyone join?
Yes, but only for students taking the MNO module each semester. If you're not taking MNO this semester, you need not worry as yours will be in the subsequent semester.

The list of modules for all SEP programmes will be released towards the SEP date itself, and after your application results are made known to you. In the mean time, you may check NTU's website to see if they have the list online or not.
Is it possible to swop from biz to accounting/other faculty in sem2?
Yes it is; an email will be sent by NUS halfway through the semester to inform students that they may choose to transfer faculty if they wish to. Keep a lookout for it if you're interested!
Hello, may I know if cca and cip points are automatically awarded? If not, how do we claim them and where do we check the amount of points we are awarded? Thanks!!
Points will be computed by the SEP Staff in the BBA Office once you have submitted your documents for SEP. They are not automatically awarded and you cannot check your points.
With regards to the leadership points for SEP, is it possible to count the exco position that we took on in year 1 even if we are applying in year 2?

There should be a cancel / withdraw button on the portal itself, simply look for it and click it! You can then reschedule another one.
When will the application for Bizad SubCom start? How will the selection be like? If once in the subcom, is that our official cca?
There really isn't the concept of an 'official' CCA because university isn't like JC and it isn't necessary for you to join an extra-curricular activity at all. That being said, the sub-comm recruitment will open around mid- to end-September!

The dates and times of your subject pool should be indicated on the portal that you signed up on. You only need to turn up at the dates and times you signed up for to participate in the subject pool.
Hi! What is the minimum attendance rate for tutorial? And if I happen to miss 1 tutorial and it's the last section of that week, can I submit MC so it won't affect my grade?
Depending on your modules, some tutors may take attendance and some don't. But yes, submitting an MC will do if you're missing a tutorial!
What do we have to do for MNO subject pool ? Is it like a survey ?
The nature of subject pool varies widely but most of the time they provide you with samples of objects and you have to complete a questionnaire. Other types include listening to music, being part of a psychological experiment and so on! It is completely safe so don't worry :)

A safe number would be about 60-70% of each cohort!

You will be taking different modules in Sem 2 so technically your classes will definitely change regardless of whether you ask for a change or not. However, if you're referring to class meaning your classmates then that is subject to the arrangements of the BBA Office and you may or may not be with the same classmates again.
Is it true that poly students have APCs of an automatic of 20MCs for UEs?
It depends on the subject you took in poly; not every poly student is entitled to 20MCs of exemption for UEs. The BBA Office will advise you on your exemptions via email during the semester!

You cannot S/U MA and FIN as there are prerequisites to both modules.

Hey there! Changing of faculties is possible and you will receive an email halfway through the semester to inform you of the opportunity to change. You may then follow the procedures accordingly :)
What are the talks that could be graded for SEP? Eg is the Recruitment talk considered part of it?
Recruitment talks are generally not counted towards SEP. The talks referred to in the SEP criteria are those which have actual content in them, for example, BSP and DSC seminars held by professors or experts in their respective fields that is organised for students to attend.
