You can use your remaining one to bid for another core module, or take another GEM if need be! :)

Pre-camp will be from 10am to 5.30pm on the 30th of July :) The academic talks are important for you to know how to bid for modules using CORS, and for you to know more about your BBA or BAC programme structure, GEM modules, etc. Do join pre-camp for the games as well, it will be a great opportunity to befriend your OG before camp starts proper!

Hi, how many UE does a poly student needs to take if one wants to honors? BBA student here.

An honours students needs to take at least 32 MCs of UEs but poly students will be exempted up to 12 MCs of UEs. Hence you will need to take 20 MCs (or 5 modules) of UEs for an honours degree! :)

can i drop out of biz oweek camp after attending precamp if the prgrams r not suitable for me?

It is taken that all participants who join O'week will go for both the pre-camp and the actual camp, hence it is highly discouraged that you should drop out of the camp. The programs arranged during pre-camp and the actual camp are fun and will not infringe on anyone's safety. If you still do have an issue with the programs, please do raise it to your OGLs instead of dropping out completely! We can work the issues out together :)

Hi there, ES2002 is a core module for all business students, and you will have to take it to complete your degree, so yes, you should take it!

If business is not your home faculty, it is unlikely they will be allocated to you. You will have to bid for them yourself!

Hi, that depends on whether you will eventually be in the main committee of Bizad Club, or in their sub-committees. The December period is usually packed with extra curricular activities which you may or may not be involved in, depending on what you sign up for! Also, there are clubs and societies outside of Business School that you may be interested in which may have activities during the holidays as well. Just do remember to ask your CCA seniors about these events and plan well to avoid clashes!

Hi! I'm a BBA student going Y2, and I understand that the preallocated mods are either 3 or 4 in Y2S1. If I would want to take a finance spec and I am preallocated 3 modules, I wouldn't be able to take on any finance spec since I haven't done FIN2004. What should i do?

You may appeal in CORS to take FIN2004 in Sem 1 if you aren't already allocated the module :)

BSP1005, for Sem 2

and

MNO1001
BSP1004
DSC2006
ACC1002, for Sem 1

Upon graduation, are there many BAC students go for ACCA, CPA or CFA for their further studies and certification? Which is the most common route? Thanks

Hi there! Most of our graduates start working once they have finished schooling and thus those who go for further studies in the areas mentioned are uncommon, since the BAC program already trains them adequately in accounting.

Hi for the module mapping form, do I have to include the classes in addition to the module code of the overseas uni? The module offers a different grading scheme for different classes despite having the same code, so how do I go about indicating this?

Accounting is not a specialisation but rather a type of degree, while finance is a specialisation. We would say that the bell curve is steeper for finance since more than half of each year's cohort will opt to specialise in finance, and thus you will be competing with more of your peers.

O'Week is a camp that introduces you to your alumni group (or your closest group of classmates for Y1), as well as to the academic aspects of university life e.g. how to sign up for tutorials, bid for modules. There will, of course be games and opportunities for you to interact with your peers as well. O'Week does not condone overly sexual or improper social games as depicted in the news, so do not worry about that!

Hi if im a floater/ costume maker for RAG, will the schedule be less taxing than that of dancers?As im interested in RAG but i cant make it for one week of the camp :(

Hi there, the daily schedules for floaters and dancers are roughly the same, but dance will definitely be more physically taxing. If you need to indicate your absence, do let the Project Director of Rag know, or let your seniors know! They will liaise with you thereafter.
