Hi, i have a 12pm - 2pm lec allocated to me but i will attend another lec timing as i want to reg another mod at 12pm - 2pm. However cors does not allow me to bid for that mod as i have a lec at the timing in the system. how should i fix this? thanks.
You may email the BBA Office to request to shift your lecture timing to another suitable timing before you bid for that module. However, if they deny you that request (for various reasons at their discretion), then you cannot bid for the module at that timing.
Hi! Previously, poly students are given 12MCs of exemptions for UE & 8MCs for GE. I read that w effect from AY2015/16, there are no exemptions for GEM hence poly students will be given 20MCs of exemption for UE instead. However, the BBA prog requirement for UE is only 12MC. So whr do the 8MCs go to?
Please note that exemptions for UEs are only UP TO 20MCs, and not the full amount. Rarely will students be awarded 20 MCs, but in the case that you do, there are two options:
1. If you are not taking an Honours, the requirement is only 12 MCs and the 8 MCs left will be forfeited.
2. If you are taking an Honours, the requirement for UEs is 32 MCs and after your supposed full exemption you will have to take 12 MCs more.

Attendance is definitely compulsory and will be taken. Moreover, class participation will be marked as well and will affect your grades if you are absent. Please inform your tutor if you are unable to make it for one of your sectionals, and arrange with him/her to attend an alternate session that week.

No, you cannot. Overloading for Y1s begins from Sem 2 onwards, unless you are a DDP/CDP/LPP student.

You have to complete it by Y1 because as the term states, it is foundational.
There isn't any known penalty for not completing ES mods by the end of Year 1, but not doing so will definitely impede your progress in the later years since many people start taking specialisation modules from Y2 onwards. You will not be able to graduate if you do not complete your required ES modules.

They should be one and the same; use your CORS timetable (which is likely to be unfinished if you still have to bid) to build your timetable on nusmods. Nusmods is simply a timetable builder that helps you view other sectional, tutorial and lecture timings and is more user friendly :)
can we still use macbook if we are in accountancy?
Of course you can :) You can use any notebook, just that for one (just one) of your modules, a Windows laptop is preferred.

You can bid for your last module in Round 2!

Yes, that is correct. All Y1s and Y2s will be preallocated modules. You are able to do an entire basket swop. To do so, please email biz_cors@nus.edu.sg :)

Yes, it will be considered as a UE module :) Bidding for language modules should start in Round 2!

Apple laptops uses a different file system and so SAS does not develop their software for MacBooks :)

If you're planning on undertaking the LPP for your French class, then you may overload :) Otherwise, you will have to take it in Sem 2.

Hi, you may approach the CSO to request for it. However if you are Y2, do note that all BFS2001 slots have been taken up and it is not possible to request for it anymore.
