Hi! For DSC2006 where do students usually get the study materials from other than purchasing the book and the havard website notes?

You may ask your seniors if they have their notes; otherwise, most materials are obtained from IVLE uploaded by your tutor.

Hi, is it possible to appeal for a tutorial slot if the slots are currently full?

You cannot appeal for tutorial slots that you fail to get. You should ballot for another timing and if you are unable to secure any tutorials, you need to manually register for your tutorial at the BBA Office.

Hi, I will be on MC for one week. Will this affect my class participation marks?

Please email your tutor to inform him/her of your MC so that your class participation marks will not be affected since you have a valid reason.

Since bsp1004 is an open book exam, does this mean that we can bring in any form of notes and annotations in the textbook to be brought into the exam hall? Or are there any restrictions on the materials that can be brought in?

You can bring in any form of notes, as long as it isn't electronic :)

There are no interviews for SEP; and yes, CCAs will be taken into consideration. You were probably looking at a general SEP information page or an outdated one, do check again!

Nope, the balloting system does not work that way!

What happens if im not given a tutorial slot during iteration round 2A? Can i still reapply for the same slots in round 2B?

It is likely that the classes will be filled in 2A, however, you may try again in 2B!

You can take D1 from biz to UTown which is the fastest way, or you can take A1 from biz to Museum, and then take D1 or D2 to UTown :)

The reading materials for each individual course will be uploaded by your respective tutors in IVLE as well.

Hi, In one of the earlier replies, it was mentioned that you don't have to swap lecture time slots, only sectionals. Then, do I have to swap my lecture time slot if the sectional that I want to swap falls on my lecture slot in my timetable on cors?

You can try appealing to the BBA Office to change your lecture slot before you swop your sectionals :)

Hi, you may check the map of NUS to determine how long you would need to travel via foot, or bus.

after indicating a grade as U and retaking it, will the grade be just a pass or fail or will they take into account the actual grade obtained?

Your U grade will not be reflected in your transcript but when you retake it the second time your grade will be counted, and reflected in your transcript :)

Hi, there is probably no way to appeal this. You should approach the BBA Office with your situation and see how they may remedy it for you, if possible. Good luck!

Balloting is first-rank-first serve; however, depending on demand, just because you rank a particular tutorial as first during your ranking does NOT mean you will always get the slot you desire. Do take note!
