If I am an accounting student and would like to do my compulsory internship after y2s1, before my sep, am I able to use this as an excuse to drop the biz modules and request for level 3000 acc mods? Is there anyway I can guarantee that I will be allocated my acc mods?

That is up to the discretion of the BBA Office. As with the circumstances of students attempting to drop modules for SEP, unless you have secured your internship, you will not likely be allowed to drop biz modules to take your accounting 3k modules. You may, however, bid/appeal for the 3k modules since you will not be preallocated the whole 5 modules for the semester. Do consider your workload before doing so though!
For further clarification, do contact Mdm Carol Loke to enquire about dropping modules for whatever your reason may be :)

Hi! I understand that Biz O Week is 4D3N, is it compulsory to stay overnight during the camp and is it possible to go for the camp but choose not to stay overnight if I have personal things to attend to? I would really like to go for the orientation just not sure if I can stay!

Overnight stays are compulsory as there will be bonding sessions at night as well :) Do try not to miss out on too many parts of the camp, as you will not be maximising your freshman experience well. However, should you require alternative arrangements for urgent personal matters, do let your OGLs know. Otherwise, you will likely be required to stay overnight!

Hello! I understand that O Week will be a 4D3N event and there will be a pre camp on 30 July! May I know roughly what time will the pre camp activity be and if it's ok to give it a miss if I already have other things on that day? Thank you :)

Hi there, the pre-camp activity details will be released towards a further date, but it should be from 10 or 11 to 4 or 5pm that day. You are highly encouraged to attend as you will be interacting with your peers and OGLs on a first-time basis so that you will not be so awkward with them during the actual camp itself! However, if you really cannot make it for a good reason, then do let your OGLs know towards the day itself.

Hi there! Please send an email to mark.tay@u.nus.edu within 1 week for changes in shirt size. If you already have the shirt, please keep old shirt back into the plastic wrapper. There is currently no delivery services availble. Since it is the holidays currently, do liaise with the Director of Business Development at 94873955 to arrange a collection timing outside the Bizad Club Room (BCR). When school begins, there will be fixed timings for collection outside the BCR every week :)

So if we're preallocated a module, we won't be able to drop it for reason of wanting to map it for SEP?

That is likely to happen, as you will not be able to guarantee your mapped modules until much later. Do discuss this with the BBA Office of need be!

That is ultimately up to you; however, we advise that you do not shuttle back and forth between both camps as it will be tiring and you will not be able to maximise your freshman experience! We advise you to choose one camp and stick with it, but the decision is ultimately yours :)

Applications for Y2S2 open after Y1S2 and applications for Y3S1 open in Y2S1 :)

Hi there, if you're a BBA student, you may choose to map BSP3001, FIN2004, MNO2007/MNO2009 and some of your spec modules. This is subject to the modules that you will be preallocated in Y2S1 i.e. if you're preallocated FIN2004, you will not likely be allowed to drop it even with SEP as a reason.
If you're a BAC student, you may choose to map the core modules above, your UEs or your second spec modules (if applicable) :)

Students typically map 3-5 modules for exchange, though the norm is 4 :)

Hi! If I would like to map the business modules overseas and would thus like to take my accounting modules in the coming semester, how do I make it known to Business school? Is there anyone I have to email? And if so, how can I go about doing that?

Hi there, if you're Y2 you will likely be preallocated your biz modules. To drop them, you may email Mr Thomas Low Joon Kiat or Mdm Carol Loke of the BBA Office to inform them of this. However, if there is a drop option for you in CORS, you may use that as well. Simply email him/her to explain your circumstances. Do take note that they may not necessarily proceed with your request due to curriculum reasons (e.g. your modules may not be confirmed to be mapped overseas with certainty).

Hi there, if you're a Year 2, you will likely be preallocated FIN2004 in either Sem 1 or 2. However if it is not preallocated, you may appeal for it through CORS during the appeal period in the bidding rounds. If you do not wish to overload, you might have to drop another module in lieu of taking FIN2004 and if need be, you may contact Mr Thomas Low to drop your module (you may do a simple google for his email). An email will also be sent by the BBA Office to inform all students of CORS administrative matters :)

The email you should indicate is your NUS email; however if you have not been provided with that your personal email is okay too!

Hello, would I be placed on a lower piority in future SEP rounds if I choose to reject the SEP internal offer as it wasn't my first few choices?

You will only be placed on lowest priority if you reject the offer after the 28th of June. Prior to that, you will be safe :)

Hello! Your GC may come in useful for FIN2004 if it can perform financial calculations, such as TVM (time value of money) and IRR. Otherwise, your GC is generally not required and a normal scientific calculator will suffice.

Hello! Is the SEP module master list fixed? Is it possible that there are modules which are not stated there but we can actually map?

The master list is fixed, and you can only map those states on the list. However, if there is a module offered by your partner university of interest to you but it has no equivalent module in NUS Biz, you may propose to the Office to map this module to one is biz that is most similar to it. And if there are no similar modules, then you may have to write to the Office for alternative arrangements :)

Hi! Currently there isn't as we do not have access to these names and allocations, but we are working to request it from the BBA Office :) Do be patient, we (or the Office) will release it when we have it!

I got accepted into SEP, but the email told me that it doesn't guarantee me with a confirmed SEP placement. What are the chances that I won't be able to go?

You will not be able to go if you do not successfully find an equivalent module to map over from biz to your SEP university. Hence, do research on what modules your partner university offers and check to see if there are any equivalents of that module in NUS biz :)

If I do not get the first choice for SEP, can i still apply again? When would be the next round that I can do so? ><

Hi there, if you do not get your first choice and you choose to reject the offer before 28th June, the next time you can apply is during the next SEP application window next semester :)
