Hi, do we have to get our textbooks ready before attending our first lesson or can we wait for instructions from tutors?

You can wait for further notice by your tutors! However if they have already specified the textbook and added that it is compulsory, it is better if you get it beforehand.

Hi, is it necessary to have the textbook for the first sectional?

It depends on which module, but for most (except marketing), you should be fine without a textbook!

Hi! If we have sent in the mutual swap request for a basket swap but have yet to receive a reply and the first lesson starts on monday, do both of us have to attend the lesson or the one who is swapping to the lesson attends?

Hi, you will have to attend your originally assigned classes if there is no reply before then. Do not attend your swopped classes as the attendance will not be updated.

For the module FIN3102, one of the prerequisites is Statistics (BZ1008/ST1131A), which isn't a module that is part of the BBA curriculum. Does it mean that we have to bid for it and take it as a UE if we want to specialize in finance?

Hi, those prerequisites are outdated. The only prereq for FIN specs is FIN2004!

Will there be a difference if i bid for tutorials at a later timing during iteration 2? Is timing a factor? :)

Nope! The actuall balloting is done after CORS closes, and the time window is only given for students to indicate their tutorial ranks.

They take into account your Y1S2 grades :)

Hi, you should wait until Monday and if it still isn't updated, you should send an email to your previous group's tutor stating your change in sectional timings, and inform your current tutor during class.

Hi! Can you recommend some air-conditioned places where we can study in/near business school or on campus/utown.

In business school, you can study at HSSML, or the 4th level 'fish tank' area (where tutorial room 0413 is) of BIZ2. You may also proceed one level up to level 5 and there will be a similar studying area there!
In UTown, you can study at the ERC on the second level above Starbucks :) It's usually packed there especially during Recess Week and Reading Week, so you might want to be there early if you want to study there.

How do I walk from biz 1 parking lot to biz1 tutorial room? Cause I've been taking A1 from Kent ridge MRT side until com 2 stop

If you're referring to biz 2 tutorials rooms, you can simply take the stairs up and there will be a lift there. The stairs should be on your left. If you're referring to biz 1 (MRB), then you can see MRB directly from where you alight, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi there! Thank you for your interest in joining the 30th MC. You have to make it for the full duration of the camp, or it is unlikely you will be chosen to be part of the MC. If possible, do try to cancel or shift whatever it is you may have if you wish to attend Calibre 2016! :)

If lectures are webcasted, then it is not compulsory to attend it. No class participation will be marked during lectures.

Nusmods states that tutorials for ACC1002 are 2 hours long, but when planning the timetable, it shows that tutorials are only 1 hour?

ACC1002 lectures are 2 hours while tutorials are 1 hour!

Hi, yes it can. Simply go to the mail forwarding option in your NUS email, and type in the email address that you want to configure it to (it should be the same email address that is already configured to your iPhone) and you can receive your NUS emails on your phone :)
