It means you are given the option not to take these modules. However, we usually do not use the drop function of CORS, especially not in Y1S1 as if you drop, you will have to bid for other modules yourself.

Hi, you have to do an entire basket swop or not at all, so you cannot cherry pick the modules you want and do not want to take. You may, however, email the Office to request for a drop in the module you want to map to SEP, but it is subject to their approval.

Yes, it is. You will be attending FIC with your O'Week OGs. The night activities will end past midnight, but your OG may want to stay up to chat or bond with each other :)

You may find out from your seniors which modules need textbooks, but for most modules, textbooks are quite optional. Once you have been allocated the module, your module coordinator may upload all relevant information that you need to know on IVLE.
I am a coming Y2 BAC student. I am supposed to take FIN2004, BSP2001, MNO2007, DSC2006 and ACC1006. However, I wasn't allocated ACC1006 in round 0 and I was told that it is not available for bidding & must be appealed. Do I appeal now or is it going to be allocated to me eventually?
You may appeal through CORS now and wait for the results to get back to you! You will not be allocated the mod if you don't appeal for it.

Hi, you are not allowed to swop only one module. If you wish to swop, it has to be the entire basket and with a mutual party.

Hi, I am from FASS and the UTCP programme, and I've read that AY2016/17 onwards are not exempted from GER1000. If I have been pre-allocated GER1000, do I still have to bid for Tembusu mods for Sem 1? Or I just have to take GER1000 and will continue to take Tembu mods from Sem 2 onwards?

If your 4 biz modules does not include BFS, then you will only need to bid for one more. Yes, bidding will be taught during precamp. Sectionals are 3 hour-long lessons and will have a higher percentage of class participation, while tutorials are only an hour long, so no, they are not the same.

Yes, you will need to bid for one more module. It's up to you whether you want to bid for an SS or GEM, but we recommend you bid for a GEM as it is encourage for you to clear GEMs by the end of Year 2. The minimum number of MCs for each semester is 18 :)

Is it true that most students go on exchange during y2s2? Does it matter much? I'm BAC so i reckon its easier to go for SEP on y2s2 so that it is easier for my compulsory internship.
It has been a recent trend that more people will go for Y3S1 instead, causing the slots to be oversubscribed. For BAC, you will be receiving a BAC module sequencing document that will advise you on how to plan your modules and when to go for SEP so do keep a lookout for it!
What does it mean by 'entire basket swap'? :)
It means that you swop all of your modules for a completely different set of modules. Hence, if you are in the basket of BSP1004, ACC1002, DSC2006 and MNO1001, an entire basket swop means you will change your basket to MKT1003, DSC1007, ES2002 and BSP1005.
I am a yr 2 BBA student wanting to take a finance spec, if I am unable to take FIN2004 in sem 1, will I be disadvantaged as compared to students who are doing it this sem?
Not really, actually. The only minor disadvantage you may have is that you will start taking your spec modules one semester later than your peers who are preallocated FIN2k4 this semester, but then again, everyone usually graduates in the same amount of time so don't be too worried if you are not preallocated FIN2k4 for now!
Hi, is it ok to attend other lecture groups? I was allocated Lec F2 but can I join Lec F1 instead? Do they take attendance or participation into account?
It is likely that you can :) Y1 lecture slots do not typically take attendance, and there is no class participation in lecture so yes!
