It's a film starring Jim Carey and he plays this man called Truman who was put up for adoption when he was a baby and then adopted by a tv production crew. They then brought him up on this film set that he thought was a real place but in fact his entire family, neighbours and eventually his wife were all actors. He had no idea that his life was a big lie and that it had all been recorded and aired live to the nation 24 hours a day
