Hi i read somewhere that k-pop is all about digital sales & physical album sales are only brought by fans? I take what was said with a pinch of salt as it seemed to defending a group that did well in digital sales and poor in others. But do you have any insight to the digital vs physical sales?
Digital sales are all albums that were bought online, on Korean sites such as Melon or on iTunes for international fans.
Physical sales are obviously all the physical albums that were bought in Kpop stores in Korea or online (Kpopmart and the like)
Both are important. But personally, I think that we shouldn't rely on the number of sales to judge if an album was good or not. ^^
