Just wondering how do you determine a groups success in Japan? Is it CD sales? Are there music shows? Was 19K more than decent. I know its not bad but its not good either. How important is the digital ranking? Thanks!
*NOTE: Nicole is no expert on Japanese music environment but...* I think the Oricon chart is a pretty good judge of initial success since many Japanese don't buy physical albums, only digital, so B.A.P ranking #5 on there is pretty good. Also, digital sales charts vary from site to site (depends where people are downloading them from), but as most Japanese listen to music this way rather than physical albums, I'd say digital charts are very important. B.A.P have also been pretty strong on those charts as well (Dwango & Recohoku), PLUS older releases such as Crash, and Badman title tracks are also charting which to me shows that a lot of people who have never heard B.A.P before have started downloading their past songs, which is also great since it shows they are getting new fans. BUT they need to do well on variety shows and appear on music shows as well. Japanese watch a LOT of TV, so this is a really important place B.A.P needs to be focusing on as it's how they will get more fans and become more well known.

I researched a little bit on my own (ok I asked someone) and The most people don't recommend CDJAPAN because the CDs often arrive damaged and Yesasia is super slow. And I tried ordering at amazon but they won't ship overseas. Thought I let you know

Jongup said he was close to his brothers and that they were always playing together
And Zelo basically only practiced all his childhood to become a rapper, go to academy and such things. He's from Mokpo, and at a very young age, travelled alone to Gwangju to attend a music academy.
