If you're too shy to talk to the girl, you could always try practicing by having conversations with other people you are less shy around, that would help you get accustomed to having conversations without being afraid.

I think in that case what you should do is follow the 3 second rule. As soon as you see your crush give yourself no more than 3 seconds to go talk to them. Focus on maintaining eye contact smiling and saying hello as a good way to start getting to know them better.
