This is a very good question, I might reanswer it in a video but the best way to gain their trust is to show them that you are responsible, considerate and open with them about what you want to do. Try helping out around the house more, try telling them what you're doing with your friends or how late you'll be out to. Anything you can do to show them that there's an open flow of communication will get them to realize that you're handling situations in a very mature way and they will hopefully be more lenient in allowing you to do other things as long as you continue to openly communicate with them.

My friends are starting to smoke, I'm afraid they'll pressure me into doing it, how do I tell them no without sounding like a douche?

The best thing to do is to tell them that you're not into it. If they say "but how do you know unless you try it" just stick to your statement and don't get pressured into having to explain yourself beyond that. If you know it's bad then you don't need to reason with someone on why. It might be very tough but stay strong and don't give in to peer pressure like that.

ask yourself honestly, do you still like her? The reason she thinks you do is because the idea of transitioning to friendship after you confess your feelings to someone or ask them out is very difficult. It's going to be hard for her to see that you genuinely want an actual friendship with no strings attached and that you're not going to get jealous if she likes or talk to another guy. It's hard to convince a girl of that once you've already told her that you like her. The safest thing might be to not try to go into a friendship but to allow things to be casual and at a point where you guys can talk to each other rather than hanging out all the time.

don't focus too much on trying to set up a romantic date with her. Instead, try to set up a session where you guys can hang out and just get to know each other better. For example you can look up a cool ice cream shop and tell her that sounds awesome and that she should come check it out with you. From there try to set up a date for you to meet up and actually do it. If you do it that way then you not only have a location to go to but you also have a place to start to build the romance rather than expecting the day to automatically be romantic because you asked her out.

I'm kind of torn on the idea of making a move at the movies. I feel like we've been told that it's the perfect place to put your arm around the girl and to kiss her but I feel like you have this huge screen in front of you that's distracting you. If you're going to watch a movie that neither of you care about and both of you know that you're there to just make out then fine, but otherwise I would save the making a move and kissing her for after the movie or before the movie. Wait for a moment that's quiet, a moment where neither of you are talking and there's that awkward silence. Turn that awkward silence into a moment where you lean in and kiss her, that's the best time to do it in my opinion.

I would focus first on picking her up. if you attach A with B here then you're trying to force things to go your way rather than reading the natural flow of things. If you see a group of girls at the mall a good place to start conversation may be while they're eating or just hanging out. if you see them actively shopping then they might feel like you're throwing them off course. For the most part people don't like to be interrupted, so be mindful of what she's doing there. As for transitioning to the movies, getting an on the spot movie date is tough but if you're talking about following up with a movie date then try to work in the idea of how you want to go to the movies when you talk to her in the mall. Say there's a movie out and you want to check it out in the convo and if you get her number then later text or call her to invite her to check it out with you.

I know man, it's incredibly tough to move on sometimes but the best thing to do is to refocus your attention on something else. If you find yourself getting hung up on the girl then try to focus on talking to new girls. Message other girls you're Facebook friends with or on instagram and once you start building connections there you're going to see more opportunity with new girls and this one will not disappear but will certainly take a backseat.

Well, her behavior is a clear sign that she may not be into you. It's very hard to forget someone but it's a lot easier to look at the situation and realize that there's very little you could do right now. If you're going to be in different schools perhaps time is the best healer here. Maybe in a year or so try to reconnect with her, give her some time to grow and yourself time as well.

Hmm if you like him back then what you're going to have to do is be more forward about it. Talk to him more and even try to make plans with him. Don't sit on the sidelines and wait for him to choose you, a passive strategy like that takes the control of the situation out of your hands and leaves it to fate, and if this other girl does exactly what I said then he's going to choose her by default.

Hmm that's a tough situation to be in. She may feel hurt by that and may think you broke up with her so you could get with her friend, no matter how long the distance between the two events occurred. The best thing you could do in that situation is to be open and honest with your friend. Doing it behind her back will just make her feel angry and if you consider her to be your friend then you have to consider her feelings. It doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to the new girl but be prepared to help your ex be ok with however she ends up feeling once you tell her.

I think groups and cliques definitely make people see differences that aren't really there and that may influence who we date. For example, popular kids may feel like they should only date popular girls because their friends might be weirded out by someone new entering their friend group. All in all, people are the same. We all wanted to be treated with respect and kindness, and there always lies a great potential to find someone very special outside of your clique if you're willing to be different from the mold.
