Dating a girls friend can be tricky but the one thing I would suggest is being open with her about how you feel, if the topic of the friend comes up then let her know that you no longer have any feelings for the other girl and try to redirect it back to the two of you there.

The key is to highlight your best qualities and to be proactive in talking to her instead of waiting for her to notice you and talk to you first.

It's totally normal to feel things for someone else, regardless of age. It all comes down to having the conscious mind to know if you should act on it or not. As for age there really is no limits unless you're going by the legal age of the place you live. My breakdown is as long as they are within you're school bracket (high school, middle school, etc.) then it's fair game.

It's not lame of you find a way to lead it into a conversation. The last thing you want to be is a one trick pony who is good for magic but isn't good enough to get to know. Stop a group and tell them you want to show them a new trick you're working on and then afterwards tell them why you got into magic, ask them where they're headed to and walk with them, see if you can all grab food or sit down for a while to talk.

I know how scary it can be to not feel like you have a direction just yet when everyone around you thinks they do. At 13 I wasn't prepared for the future and I didn't even start to truly know what I wanted to do till 24! You have lots of time to try things, discover new hobbies and make mistakes. Always be learning, and in time you'll start to shape your path. Paths are always shaped, not chosen.

Hey, it sounds like the fear of rejection might be stronger than your will to succeed here. I know it can be tough to approach a girl you barely know but if you truly want to see if you can develop something with her you're going to have to take risks and see where it all goes. If you're planning on messaging her to start the conversation, I would hold off on that. It's hard to start a conversation online like that, mainly because the pressure is higher since you're competing with so many things for her time. (Summer, other things on her phone, whatever she's doing in that moment IRL). I would suggest holding off till the school year and then trying to talk to her in person. That way you can transition online and have it go smoothly. As for her telling everyone and them making fun of you, there's nothing embarrassing about liking someone and it actually means your confident if you have the courage to go after the person you like. Anyone who says otherwise has likely never had the courage to do that before.
