What are some prayers I could say before eating, to show guru ji im thankful for the food on my plate?

dhadhaa dhaathaa eaek hai sabh ko dhaevanehaar ||

Hi, my friend has a 3 larr pagg I have a 6 larr pagg I've heard by rights it should be 5 larr. How many should it be?

Doesn't matter, its our crown which can be different sizes.

I currently get up at 4am, is it ok to go back to sleep for an hour after I have done my panj bania?

Hanji, especially if you got uni/school etc or you do some sort of physical exercise it's usually needed.
But work off how your body feels. Maybe at the start of the week you don't need the extra sleep but during the end of the week the toll may begin to felt on the body

Personally veer Ji I read gurbani on my phone when I'm out and about ie at uni/shopping.
When I'm trying to memorise a bani etc.
And emails our bookings team veer Ji

Either bhenji, as long as the hair is covered at all times, whichever you feel most comfortable. dastar/chunni/patka

I love chicken , I'm not being vegi , I'm doing simran and keeping my hair nd becoming a Sikh there's no need to give up meat as long as its not halal according to gurbani and sgpc marayda

Plenty of baani aims towards not eating meat, scroll down this page we answered a question about it in depth a few days ago...

People argue with me that the kirpan is useless against a gun, therefore it's outmoded and old (as are the other K's). How to counter this argument?

Singh's in USA have guns. UK law doesn't allow people to own guns without a license. But ye I am for guns where allowed. UK Sikhs should go to their nearest shooting ranges and get experience. Guru Gobind Singh Ji writes baani about carrying guns... The kirpan isnt only to defend against a gun, there a very deep meaning behind it about controlling your internal emotions and 5 chor

Its a deep topic, a lot can happen after death depending on how we live and connect in this current life..

Paji what are your views on shri guru granth sahib ji maharaj saved on computers phones and cards? How can we do mahrajs seva on a device?

I would say, when the Gurbani is visible on your phone treat it just like a gutka (wash hands, cover head etc etc)
On cards - tear the Gurbani area off and do satkar of it as if it were a gutka (burn in a fire and bury ashes)

Find a shabad that talks about not fearing death and sing it continuously and understand the meaning of it... Bhagat Kabeer Ji has written a lot about death in a positive way

I was explaining to my Portuguese friend about how Sikhs do no eat meat/fish/egg. She raised the point that chickens produce eggs regardless of fertilisation (ie. egg won't grow into a chick) so if you consume milk, why not eggs, because both are naturally produced by animals. This baffled me a bit!

Would you eat a human egg?

SSA parji, I suffer from anger issues and can become full of rage easily; instead of opting for western therapy is their any mantra I could repeat - bani I could read or kirtan I can listen to ? Can u be specific if possible - thanks wjkk wjkf

All baani will help but to start with try about 30 minutes of Vaheguru simran whilst sitting down... Aside from this recite as much mool mantar as you can

Vjkk vjkf. When bani refers to Nanak (as in nanak hosi Bhi sach; guru Nanak dev ji refers to himself) or when other gurus write "Nanak" in bani, are they directly speaking to guru Nanak dev ji? In guru Nanak dev ji's bani, when he writes Nanak, is he speaking in third person?

The Gurus are refering to themselves as Nanak - remember they were all the light of Nanak.
However, when reading baani personally use the Nanak line as Mahraj talking to us and how we should take the message from the shabad
