WJKK WJKF As I understand it, it is a blessing to want to be closer to waheguru and relinquish maya - Why aren't we all blessed by waheguru and put on this path? Why are some left to wander aimlessly forever as it were (eik hukmee sadha bhavaeahi) bhul chuk maaf thank you

WJKK WJKF! Its because of our Karams (karma) from past lives, we reap in this life what we did in our last lives...

How is it that at such a young age, Bhai Sahib Bhai Harinder Singh Ji has reached such a high level of brahmgyan? How can normal people like me achieve this amount of knowledge and saintly qualities

Best to ask Bhai Harinder Singh

e heard it takes a certain amount of time to get to dharamraj, Do all these processes follow the laws of time. If it takes "time" getting there then surely there is a distance to cover aswell, does this mean that the court of dharamraj is a physical court which potentially could be mapped?

The world beyond the physical world we know through our senses cannot be compared to how we know and understand time here.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fateh! I have a rather odd question. We believe that there is a creator and that is creator is self created. But what proof is there that they are self created. Does it not contradict the fact in order for something to exist it must have a creator. Why do we exis

Vjkk, Vjkfateh,
We are trying to understand God with words...Vaheguru ji is beyond...don't try & understand...Jap Naam & experience God

VJKK VJKF! I was wondering, are we allowed to read books? I've been reading book all my life (Harry potter and mostly love stories) and I'm not sure if that's right? I don't watch TV or listen to music, but is it wrong for me to read love stories? I feel like I should stop because it wastes time..

Vjkk, Vjkfateh,
If it's taking you away from the Gurus teaching then I would say think about changing what you are reading.
Try reading Gurbani translation...you might enjoy it more

Do you have a legit link in English of what happened at the Amrit Sanchar in 1699. I always grew up with the story of the sheeps/goat in the tent (even in Punjabi school!!!) -- really want to read every detail now. Please advise, Bhai Sahib Ji.

Who ever tells the version of goats has no faith in the Guru & is implying Guru Gobind Singh Ji lied.

VJKK VJKF! If we see an animal in pain, i.e an insect, is it alright for us to put it our their misery? For example, the other day I saw an insect that looked like it had been stepped on, was unable to move and its legs were mangled.

I personally wouldn't do that.

VJKKVJKF - I have seen loads of people who drink, smoke and cut their hair posting pics of 1984 and demanding justice for 1984. Is the best way to remember them by never forgetting their message, to uphold the values of the khalsa, to take Amrit and to recite Nitnem?

Hanji

In regards to sikhi, what are the 'laws' on falling in love and having relationships?

Love is a big word...it's a state of being. What we believe to be love in most cases is attachment.
If a GurSikh does think they are falling for someone, if they are ready for marriage needs to get someone involved to set up steps towards getting married.
If they have no intentions have marriage then they need to get involved in more Seva Simran to redirect energy.

Whats the difference between a monah and an amritdhaari singh? I don't understand why we have to take amrit? Is it compulsory? If so, if im a good charitable person who respects everyone and tries my hardest will I still not reach god because I haven't taken amrit?

We can only eliminate the ego with the Guru's grace. Our version of being righteous may not match with the Gurus way.
Guru's way is guaranteed so why take the risk.
Taking Amrit is surrendering to Gurus every word as we no longer exist...I know we may not have many Amritdhari's that are like this but I always say why not become the example and become the shinning Amritdhari you seek to see in others.

What is the best way to absorb naam?

Jap, jap and jap Naam! But be present when 'japping' and realise Vaheguru as ever present

I am not a sikh but wondered what happens to non-sikhs if they dont believe or follow Sikhism? Is there things like hellfire or bad karma for non-believers? If not then what is the point of being a Sikh if there no consequence's of not being a believer?

It's not about not following Sikhi for a Sikh.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji said without pure/good actions all will cry.
