I can answer the qs about Lord Vishkarma. In India, people who earn a living with tools (such as mechanics, engineers etc.) usually bow to (worship?) Lord Vishkarma. I guess uneducated Sikhs also got into the same habit. It has nothing to do with Sikhi at all.

Apparently there is some sort of typo on Ang 972, "Kameer" instead of "Kabir". How can this be, since we consider Sri Guru Granth Sahib to be perfect?

I want to start reciting Jaap Sahib. Will it be ok if I do this in stages. For example read the first 50 Pauris a day for a week or so and build it up- so week after do 60 pauris Is it paap if i do not read the entire Parth in one day? Thanks

Japji Shaib isn't in raag... Guru sahib created such a gurbani that we Veechar it constantly and get as much spiritual gian from their as possible.
