Should sggs ji be kept in heated room in winter, or do you consider this not be important

The more respect we give to Guru Ji the more blessings we get - would recommend giving Maharaj some extra blankets/ heater during winter.

Are we allowed to do an ardas if we want the darshan if someone eg sant Ji before doing Simran to ask maharaj to bless us with the vision of these great gursikhs or is this ego

We can but remember we can get DARSHAN of the biggest Sant, Mahapurakh, King ever - DHAN DHAN GURU GRANTH SAHIB JEE MAHARAJ!

Fateh! If you've been given choola as a baby and wish to take Amrit later on, do you have to do pesh before, as its been such a long time there have been mistakes such as eating something wrong as a child at school, at one point a friend had even given a sweet which had alcohol, what a weird world

VJKK VJKF! Before sleeping at night Sohila Sahib, before naps do some Simran, Mool Mantar and read 'Salok - Pavan Guru Pani....' You can do any really.

Vaheguru! I heard somewhere that before Khande di pahul there used to be a similar thing for Sikhs. But if there wasn't how were Sikhs distinguished from non Sikhs?

Guru Nanak was Amritdhari as they got Amrit from Akaal Purakh. Guru Angad Dev Ji was Amritdhari from Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Amrit initiation was called 'Charan Paul' - Guru put foot in water and Sikhs drank it. Sikhs up until Guru Gobind Singh Ji were Amritdhari as they were initiated by Guru.

If they really want to get married they can - but not Anand Karaj as that's only for those who accept Guru completely. Also it's unfortunate for the children being stuck in the middle so interfaith marriage is not recommended by daas (servant).

Its all about surrendering to Guru and when you surrender you completely lose your own Manmat (own mind) and take on Guru's Mat. Out of love we accept whatever Guru says because we realise one thing - GURU CANNOT MAKE A MISTAKE! Also our aim is not to be liberated after death but 'Jivan Mukat' - liberated while still alive

Once I started doing path after like a year of not doing it and when I did ardaas, it felt like every aspect of my body wanted me and was trying to force me to stop and like I was about to faint. I still finished the ardaas but I don't understand why this happened? Was God trying to give me a sign?

If you don't eat food for a year you'll die. Food for soul in Naam/Bani/Seva etc. and looks like your soul is recovering.

Do I have to do pesh before I take Amrit, I've not been blessed with Amrit yet but have done loads of mistakes and still am.

No when you take Amrit you are reborn as a Khalsa and you're past mistakes are forgiven by Guru.
