What is the significance of going around maharaj when doing matha tek?

Pakarma is saying that Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj is the centre of life, we base our whole life on Guruji.

Can you please give me advice?! Sometimes i fall in love with sikhi, listening to kirtan doing seva and path, but sometimes i get these sexual thoughts. How can i control this and myself? Your advice would be really helpful thank you.

Would advise reading more Bani and learning about Sikh History and how the Khalsa lived.

WJKK WJKF . It is said that if we meditate on Guru Arjan Dev Ji ,we won't have to go through the cycle of life and death ever again. My question is since all of our Gurujis have the same light, wouldn't meditating on Guru Har Krishan ji or Har Gobind Ji will give us liberation as well?

VJKK VJKF! Exactly, it is the same light in all Guru's...

I would just like to say, I had a problem with a kara causing cuts and rashes on my arm, It turned out to be an allergy to nickel that is often in the steel, so I would recommend an Iron kara which is what a wear now

There you go ji..

If you are driving and complete Rehraas Sahib paaht, is it acceptable to do Ardaas while sitting in the car? Or do you have to wait until you can park and get out and stand for Ardaas?

One of rehatnaney state that Ardaas for Rehras should be done standing up so you could just do short one in car and full one after.

Regarding the question about Kanga falling out, this happens to me too and I try to be careful but feel guilty when it does. I only recently kept my kes and took amrit and age not on my side, I don't have much hair. I try and place the kanga but it falls as it isn't attached to the hair. Help??

Sikhi is practical....if your kes haven't grown out to full length yet, then just make sure you've got it on you somewhere,

"Farida buray da bhalla kar" Does this mean that we do nothing if people attempt to steal from us or deceive us, or try to make us look like the fool in social/famliy situations, etc.? The world is very clever and cunning, I am too simple and straightforward in my thinking.

This pangti doesn't say to do nothing, it's saying to react out of compassion meaning that you've got best intention in mind for the person.

I have alot of lines on my hand and people say that means i will struggle in life and all kinds of bad stuff. what does sikhi say about these lines

Don't worry about palm reading, live in the moment now and forget the future as TIME IS NOW and if we don't do Naam now it will be too late!

With Gurus kirpa I have been keeping my hair for a while now and stopped cutting it but I've noticed using a plastic comb ruins the hair. I'm not amritdhari, is it ok to use the kanga or would that be disrespectful?

No way at all ji - there's a reason why we use a Kangha instead of any comb.

i'm amritdhari and my kanga always falls out and on to the floor, what is guru ji maharaaj telling me here?

Sometimes it happens accidently but don't make it a habit. Read Bani and do Ardaas for forgiveness when this happens.

Why the number 13?

When Guru Nanak Dev Ji was working in a storehouse, people came for food. The visiting people were in such bliss from hearing Guruji praising Vaheguru. Guru Nanak began counting the provisions to hand out - 'Ik, du, thin....' and when he reached 'tera' which is number 13 he would lose themselves. Guru Nanak Dev Ji would keep saying 'tera, tera, tera, sabh kich tera' which means everything is yours!!!

I went to the Gurdwara after school today and I was about to leave, but a Baba who wroks there came up to me and said to do chaur seva, but told him that I had to go. (since im in uni) and when i left I felt VERY guilty. My question is have a committed a paap when I refused to do chaur seva?

Don't worry about that ji, if you had to go then you had to go. Just see it as Guruji giving you a pointer to do more Seva next time.

Are you suppose to do all of the morning Nitmen during Amrit Vela? Would it be okay if someone gets up around 5 am and starts path at that time and finishes at 6:30 am?

That's fine ji - see as once your in the gates to Sach Khand during Amrit Vela, you don't get closed off exactly at a certain time but it remains open as you do your Nitnem.

So I recently watched a 30 min presentation by CBC on Babbar Khalsa and the air India bombing in 1992, and that Babbar Khalsa is a terrorist group in Canada due to that bombing being the worst in history, so its wrong to put Bhai Talvinder Singh's photos in public on Visakhi and Nagar Kirtan...

So much propaganda.... that's sad. There's a book called 'Soft Target' by Z.Kashmiri and B.McAndrew and they states that the bombing was done by the Indian Government. They did it to give us an international name as terrorists....
