Can you tell me what to say to panj pyare if asking for forgiveness for masturbation? How do you communicate this in Punjabi? I am extremely regretful, but feel very embarrassed to communicate this to Panj Pyare, especially because I am a woman. Please help asap.

You dont need to go to Panj for that...
but you need to realise that there is something missing in your sikhi which is making you do this or have done this.
Practice and unite with sangat, Bani, Seva, or repetition of manthra's.
if this issue is deeply eating you up, you can say:
'apne app de naal kaam di galti hogi'
Panj will get it :)

Pls advise: I'm 1/2 way thru a huge tattoo. I want to take amrit, but am unsure what to do. My options: 1) Finish the tatt & then take Amrit, 2) Take Amrit & THEN finish the tatt, 3) Take Amrit and stop the tatt (will look weird for the rest of my life though), 4) Don't take Amrit (not an option).

okay Bhenji, I would take a hukamnama if your unsure but if you understand this body will not go with you and is just a vessel then the tattoo won't matter but if you do care then don't go through the worry and finish it..... but it all comes down to how bad you want Amrit Ji.... you will never find a father like guru Gobind Singh ji

I heard a story ( not really accurate) where a man tries to rape a religious sikh woman but just when he was about to touch her he said one of the Panj Pyare holding a talwar appeared in front of him. How come he had darshan of the Panj Pyare when he was clearly about to do something disgusting?

Vaheguru - I think you're talking about the story where the girl was protected by a Shaheed Singh. There are many of these stories. Shaheed Singhs protect us when we need them most if we stay in Gursikhi, the man was given darshaan of the Singh to protect the Bibi ji.

Why do men and women sit apart in the Gurdwara?

Men and women are equal in Sikhi, they are both sat in the same Darbar but separated just so one can concentrate more on Guru in Sangat rather than perhaps being distracted.

VJKK VJKF. Need your advise Ji. Drinking smoking runs in my house. In the near future I want to take Amrit with Gurus Kirpa. Was thinking I'll take Amrit when I move out which is not possible due to financial reasons. I might not be living by then. I need to take Amrit before then. Please advise Ji

WJKK WJKF - Kirpa jee, don't let your mind postpone you taking Amrit. Do Ardaas let Guru Ji take care of the situation, give your head to your Guru while you can !

Okay In the amazing Sukhmani sahib, it says to serve the saint/bhagats and that you would recieve extreme punishment if you slander them. Clearly Ik slandering is bad but i don't get it, am I supposed to serve a sant babaji? Obviously be respectful to them n all but like serve them ? How?

It come in Sukhmani Sahib -
sa(n)th kee saevaa naam dhhiaaeeai ||
Serving the Saint, one meditates on the Naam.
Simple - Jap Naam Waheguru!

VJKK VJKF - What are the mandatory Paths a Sikh must do in a day as minimum in order?

For an Amritdhari:
Morning - Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasad Svaiye, Chaupai Sahib, Anand Sahib (full)
Evening - Rehras Sahib
Nightime - Kirtan Sohila
Every Sikh should do Japji Sahib minimum and add other baniya in own time, Kirtan Sohila is also important and quite short.

VJKK VJKF - Why are people not allowed to have actors play the parts of Gurus in Movies?

Our Gurus our beyond anyone's imitation, if someone tried to act the role of Guru it would be underestimating their glory!

is it okay to bleach your moustache hair for a girl if you are really insecure about it? To feel more confident? I am also amritdhari since the age of 5 years old.

We should keep our hair as it is, it Vaheguru's Hukam the way we were made, are we saying we know more than Vaheguru.

Can I take amrit despite I haven't got a traditional sikh name?

Hanji you can take Amrit but you should get a hukamnama too after Amrit Sanchaar for a new name for a new life - make sure to ask Panj Piare.

Hi team. Please help. When naming a new baby, is it hukam to turn to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? Or is this more of a cultural nice to have? Also, is it wrong to ask the granthi for multiple letters? Thank you. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.

Jess
As a Sikh we should definitely get a hukam from Guru for name. The hukamnama will be the message for the infant's Jeevan and the first letter should be used for the name and Singh Kaur added. Hukam comes from Guru so Granthi won't be ablle to give letter jee.

VJKK VJKF! I am an Amritdhari, i was experimenting with a pair of scissors. So long story short, my stupid experiment lead me to cut a little bit of my hair on my forearms. You can kinda notice, but not really. I know i am stupid. What should i do? Should i take Amrit again?? PLS HELP!!

VJKK VJKF. Firstly thanks for getting in touch and wanting to do something about it - that's the first step! Kaljug (dark age) is really bad and therefore we do such silly things that we regret and repent afterwards.
Cutting Kesh (any part of body) is going against Vaheguru's natural way we were made - it is one of the 4 Bujjer Kurehats which if broken involve going for Pesh to Panj Pyarey. now that its happened the only thing you must do is find out when the next Amrit Sanchaar near you is and don't be afraid of going to the Panj Pyarey they wont turn you down - their duty is to forgive. Panj Pyarey have been given the role of Guru so don't take lightly the advice you are given.

VGJKK VGJKF - why do we say sikhi and not sikhism?

VJKK VJKF! Sikhi is more than a religion more of a way of living. Even in bani and Bhai Gurdaas Di Vaaran it is written as Gursikhi - a lot of things were changed when the British invaded India.

In gurbani it's says the messenger of death with not approach those who are obeying of God or doing simran, something like that(sorry), however there's many occasions when someone is killed in the middle of simran and paat like in Wisconsin or Bhai Jaspal Singh I believe it was. Can you explain plz?

Hanji - I think the Shabad you're talking about is - SHALOK: Where the Holy people constantly vibrate the Kirtan of the Praises of the Lord of the Universe, O Nanak — the Righteous Judge says, “Do not approach that place, O Messenger of Death, or else neither you nor I shall escape!”||1|| Th
