Wjkk Wjkf! Plz help me to clear this confusion,.i heard sm katha vachak saying that we should neither listen nor read Dhaarnas, as its considered as a Kachi bani,,as mentioned in anand sahib..but what about Sant Ranjit singh ji dhadrianwale,,is it wrong plz help

Vjkk vjkfateh, sangat is responding well and people people are joining to SGGS Ji.
I like to see it as a stepping stone to pure gurbani kirtan.
If it helps you connect to vaheguru and do simran of them then I see no problem ji

I am v.silly.Before taking amrit vaheguru got me up at 1am and I completed nitnem and Simran. Now I have taken amrit I struggle to wake up on time to complete my nitnem before I go to work. I feel ashamed, know what I should do but dont do it as I should, or did do. How do I get that routine back?

Vaheguru, this seems like a test Ji.
Do Ardas from your heart and beg to return to such a place.
Do Seva and simran at the same time, remember Seva can be helping around at home or parents etc.
Sometimes this happens when we take Amrit and our ego inflates. We need to make ourselves low again.

is it okay to prey for good results in my exams

Hanji, vaheguru is the giver of givers Ji.
however don't blame Vaheguru if it doesn't go well... its all his hukam and whatever happens will be a benefit for your path on sikhi.

VJKK VJKF Veerji, I tend to procrastinate a lot on homework and because of this, I miss out on going to the gurdwara and other activities. How do I fix this? Thanks

VJKK VJKF! Sikhi is all about a balance in everything - Sehaj. Definitely do your school work but you can surely spare a few hours just for your Guru. Don't kill yourself with work, that's not good either.

VJKK VJKF. When doing Simran with Sangat, recently my mind has been wandering. Could you please advise Ji how to concentrate. Also should we talk, or even try to talk, of the bliss we experience during Simran. Thank you Ji much appreciated. VJKK VJKF

WJKK WJKF! Don't think your the only one who's fighting their minds. Its a fight we are all fighting and its a big fight but we mustn't give up, that's when it will get worse.
You may be having thoughts that weren't there before you were practising Sikhi and you may find it even harder to concentrate. That's Guru Ji testing you directly, your mind is obviously going to want you to fall because if we follow the Guru then we wont listen to our mind - Manmat, the mind doesn't want to die. We have to keep trying and listening to our conscience which is where Vaheguru speaks to us - Gurmat.
We can talk about experiences of Simran to inspire others but don't ever think we can do justice of the feeling by mere words ji.

Is it okay to wear a patka if your poppping off to the shops for 5 minutes or dropping kids off at school

After taking Amrit we should always be wearing dastaar jee. In your case you could tie keski (small dastaar).

VJKK VJKF Ji. How do we stop gossiping and talking bad of people's actions, which I'm guilty of doing. I've been on this blessed path for two months or so. I'm finding it hard as Sangat, Gursikhs, around gossip I become enticed in. I'm quick to judge someone's downfalls. Please help Ji.

Vjkk, Vjkfateh,
It's not necessarily Sangat what we think is Sangat.
First step is to do Ardaas to bless you with Sath-Sangat...True Sangat.

VJKK VJKF! Do we believe in the Law of Attraction? So if you think good thoughts and put out a lot of positive energy to the universe, that universe will respond to it and give you positivity back? So to apply it with Sikhi, if we jap naam a lot, we'll get a lot of that positivity back?

VJKK VJKF! Vaheguru - never heard about that but YES it's sounds perfectly true!

WJKK WJKF, 2 questions please. 1) Is there an order of importance of the Gurus? or are all of same importance? Reason is, I see a lot of media only portraying Guru Nanak Ji & Guru Gobind Singh Ji and wonder why the other Gurus not shown a lot

WJKK WJKF! The light in Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the same light in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the light has always been one but passed on into different forms so there's no one Guru bigger than the rest.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the first Guru which everyone remembers and Guru Gobind Singh Ji being the tenth and last "human" Guru, it's probably because everyone knows about those Gurus.

VJKK VJKF What is the significance of the sangat making offerings of milk, sugar flour etc when they do mathatek to guru granth sahib ji. Is it simply a donation to the langar hall or are there some other spiritual meanings to it? Thanks

VJKK VJKF! We place food before Guru Jee same way we give money, people may ask why give money even if it's a penny. The significance is us saying to Guru Jee everything belongs to you and nothing is ours that's why milk/flour are put in Darbar sahib.
Its main function is for Seva - to be used in Langar hall as those types of rations are used regularly.

My parents are both Amritdhari but they are always fighting. A couple months ago my dad even threw a remote at my face and hit my mom on the side of her face causing a huge bump to her eye. I stopped talking to him for a while but now I have forgiven him. He acts religious but I know he isn't.

Vaheguru!
Inwardly polluted, and outwardly pure. Those who are outwardly pure and yet polluted within, lose their lives in the gamble. They contract this terrible disease of desire, and in their minds, they forget about dying. In the Vedas, the ultimate objective is the Naam, the Name of the Lord; but they do not hear this, and they wander around like demons. Says Nanak, those who forsake Truth and cling to falsehood, lose their lives in the gamble. ||19||

Just show so much love to them and give so much respect to your parents that they change themselves. Maybe your Dad is going through stress or something you don't understand. Try and be there for him and comfort him.

A few people have asked if they need to go pesh for masturbation. BoS Sevadaars said no twice and yes twice. Can you clarify? What if this galti was done only once, there was a lot of regret, and forgiveness was asked from Maharaj many times? I am so scared to go pesh.

Sorry for notting being clear. To clarify, it isn't a must to go to the Panj but it is highly, highly recommended and it's up to you personally to make your own decision whether to go to the Panj. You will know yourself if you need to go for pesh but if you think that you don't need to, make sure you read extra Bani maybe a Sukhmani Sahib and do Ardaas from your heart for forgiveness.
It's a good thing to be scared to go for pesh but there duty is to help us and they wont send you away, take someone with you if you want to go.

how does sikhi and sant sadhoos who follow baba shri chand work together?

There are many different paths that extended from Baba Sri Chand who was one of Guru Nank Dev Ji's sons and he had reached a high spiritual level and was an Udhasi, however he wasn't good enough to be the next Guru as he didn't give himself up fully. In the other hand Bhai Lehna was dedicated, accepting anything his Guru said and so he became Guru Angad Dev Ji.
The people that follow Baba Sri Chand are not Sikhs as they don't accept the Gurus and Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the living Guru. But even still they are part of the Sant Ka Maarag - path of saints.

What is the connection between the mind and soul, how are they linked. Do karams move from the mind to the soul. When you die does your mind also live like the soul.

The mind affects where the soul goes. There are 3 types of Karam that are recorded and Judged by Dharan Raaj - man (mind), Bach (spoken words) and Karam (actions). We will be judged on our thoughts too.

Is it ok to have a private swimming pool at home as an Amritdhari ? What did our Gurus say on keeping fit ?

if your not having any swimming pool parties then its all good.
Guru Angad dev Ji set up wrestling arenas and eat simple foods. Keep a balanced life and a pure surrounding around us.

WJKK WJKF - if someone goes gurdwara, does sehva, lives a selfless life for their family but doesn't necessarily jap naam a lot - can they still merge with Waheguru in death?

kahu Nanak Har bhaj manaa ant sehaaee hoe
Nanak says, meditate on Vaheguru as he shall be your only help and support in the end.
Seva etc is for us to begin to accept his hukam and it is hukam in itself. We need it to break down own panj chor I.e. ego. when doing Seva jap naam and enjoy the Seva.

vjkk vjkf , What are takhts? I know there are 5 takhts but what are they exactly? takhts are mentioned in ardass as well but I don't know anything about them.

the Panth recognises 5, they are:
Takht Sri Akal Takht Sahib at Amritsar, Punjab.
Takht Sri Keshghar Sahib at Anandpur Sahib, Punjab.
Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, at Patna, Bihar.
Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib at Nanded, Maharashtra.
Takht Sri Damdama Sahib at Sabo ki Talwandi  in Bathinda, Punjab
takht means throne and each one has significance. Research them and their history and it will help you understand sikhi a little more Ji.

I've never been more interested in Sikhi than the last few weeks. I've been learning Gurmukhi and about our Guru Jis every single day. Reciting Gurbani etc. However, I've also started getting nightmares that have Sikhi in them. Ie, I do paath while running away etc. What could this mean ji? I never

Vjkk vjkfateh, as we walk on this path there will be a number of obstacles stopping us to progress as we are starting to open our eyes to the illusion of this world.
it can be a number if things for example, running from a past problems, issues and things you feel you should not have done.
keep japping naam, reciting gurbani and do Ardas Ji.

Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj prescribe cannabis to one of his Singhs. If a man consumes Marjuana and Naam japs is it still considered bad. In Guru Granth Sahib ji there is something along the lines of consuming Marjuana fish etc you go to hell. In your opinion would Gurujis Singh go to hell?

Where did you get that from jee? Never heard that, don't think you got your source correct. Why do we need Canabis when we can get even higher bliss of Naam!!!

I am going to Punjab in the summer and would like to do darshan of a brahm giani. I appreciate there are not many. Any suggested names for UK or Punjab

Daas would recommend Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Ji Dhadrianwale, you will be in Anand in their divans with all the Sangat.

wjkk wjkf veerji i am very confused about hukam concept?watever happen in our life is it fall under hukam.sometime i feel like its just my own excuse may be i am not putting all my potential to do my work. please advice.

WJKK WJKF! Ultimately everything is in Vaheguru's control and we are just mere puppets. But still it doesn't mean we don't put in any effort, it says in Gurbani - 'Aapan Haathee Apana, Aape Hi Kaaj Saavariye' which means with our own hands lets solve our own affairs. Imagine food in a plate, you have to pick up the food and eat it which means you have to put some effort it you wouldn't just say let Vaheguru feed me. In the same way you should put effort in your work. Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught us about Kirar karni, honest and hard work. Guruji encourages a Grisiti Jeevan where we live in the world and work as normal people but still remain distinct like a lotus flower in a dirty pond.
Your question is about free will or destiny, it is hard to get your head around. This Q&A should help:

I have a hair loss condition and have been told that if I try using egg in my hair it may help my hair to grow back, am I allowed to use egg in my hair or shall I keep looking for an alternative?

Loss hair condition is natural, that's the way Vaheguru made you jee. I wouldn't worry about it and just take it as Kirpa.

What is the best way to memorize and know the meaning of the random shabads/ tukk from gurbani , like how jagrag veer ji does it. When giving an example he usually say shabad/tukk. I am bad at memorizing. it will be so nice If can also use the tuk from gurbani like he does.

It come quite quickly by listening to lots of Katha really...
You can also read Steeks which have detailed translations of Bani, they also come in English. Start with Nitnem Bani's and go through the meanings. Its more of a blessing of Guruji really.
