I learned more from your channel in the past year than I did at my Punjabi school in the past 5-6 years. Thank you so much for awaking the world of what Sikhi really is. Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh?

ham moorakh kaare laaeaa, Nanak Ham kamme, I'm just an idiot working to please my Guru. Its Him you should be thanking.

Wjkk Wjkf Sorry I think its a silly question but as maraj says in bani not to eat a lot I am a amritdari and I do powerlifting I have to keep my calorie levels high in 5-6 thousand range what shoul I do khalsa ji?

Munch up! We need more Singhs like you :) Ensure you keep the Naam as well, train to dharmic geets and fast simran.
Dont just focus on strength, make sure you do agility as well. When I was in the Army, some of the skinniest guys could carry the most and walk for longer than the big strong brutes who ran out of steam very early.

What happens to atheists when they die?

Same thing that happens to nearly all of us who dont get blessed with mukti whilst alive. We get judged by dharamraaj, our thoughts, words and actions are judged and we are given the results.
An atheist might be a great person, so they would get rewarded for that. However, if they never chanted Gods name then they cannot get mukti.
"Naam bina ko mukt na hoee" Without Naam, no one can get Liberation.

when havin intercourse with your spouse, is it acceptable to remove your kachhera? Sorry. slightly embarrassing ques. If not, does one have to be pesh?

Keep the kachhera on one leg. Do apologise to maharaj for the times you removed it. Personally I make a million mistakes a day, so we should be asking for forgiveness every day in any case.
Unless its a bujjar kurehit, I wouldnt go troubling the punj piare with things like this. The main two kakkars that should never leave us are the kirpan and the kesh. Most people I know who remove their kirpan to go on a plane, dont go pesh afterwards. So be sensible, keep your nitnem rehat and be nice to your spouse (ie dont go blaming all this on him/her). And yes, its a slightly embarrassing question I wished you'd never asked! lol

I'm an amritdhari guy and I'm really good friends with an amritdhari girl in the sangat at my local Gurughar. We hang out a lot and everyone in the sangat; even the elders in the sangat think we're going out. And now rumours are being spread to everyone. How can explain to these ppl we're friends?

Start calling each other bhenji and bhaji loudly, get her to tie the most garishly large rakhri on you, get those tshirts that say, "proud of my sister", "proud of my brother" and take a picture and put it up on the Gurdwara with fake newspaper story about how Gursikhs need to have sangat. Get a "punj pond di ardaas" done by her for you asking for brothers chardikala and then you do one the following week for her.
Finally, do try and make sure that you're not always just alone with her. On the one hand, those people who are doing nindiya are doing you a favour, but even then, to ensure that your reputation (especially hers) is not tarnished, you should take some public steps.
Now, as a tip, I would only do the suggestions above if you are absolutely positively not planning to be in a relationship with the said Amritdhari Kaur, as you're gonna have to eat a lot of humble pie later on if you do have a rishta with her. Fateh and out!

why are people spending millions on new gurudwara's when there there are people starving in the world and charities that could use the money in better ways

When you say people, you mean Gurdwara committees or the Sangat?
Committees that build big Gurdwaras do so because they dont understand what Sikhi is and that Guruji isn't looking for a huge building with wedding halls that look slick. Guruji wants spiritual and physical training centres (with langar and help for the downtrodden) but these committees only think of how to get more people into a divan hall, how to charge more for weddings and akhand paaths and also how to guilt trip the sangat into giving more money to ensure the Gurdwara is not in debt.
The sangat give money to these big projects cause mostly they dont know what Sikhi is, they also get fooled by the idea of "boht sona vadda gurdwara" and think that they can be part of that legacy for the following generation.
They forget that Sikhi isn't in buildings, and also do not notice that whilst everyone is concentrating on buildings, the Sikhi of the youth is going down. Now we have Sikhs who cant understand what their Guru is saying.
Very few are think about doing something that resembles what Sikhi is about. The only way the change will come is to educate the sangat about Sikhi and what a Gurdwara should be, shin a light on the secretive dealings of Gurdwaras and also empower the youth to step up and get involved in changing this corrupt system.
This is the long term battle for the panth. "Panth Vasse, Mai Ujhraa, Man Chao Ghenera!"

my school don't allow me to have a kirpan, when i explain they don't get it. what can i do?

Contact the Sikh Helpline, they have achieved this change in the UK. Also be sure to get your parents or friends to donate to them so they can continue their work. If they have problems, get United SIkhs involved.

what is the punishment for sikhs cutting their hair?

What happens to a coin when you rub off all the markings? People aren't sure what it is, they have to look carefully and may not accept it. Kesh is the Guru's stamp upon a Sikh. If we live as a Sikh, do paath, simran, kirtan, then we should keep the kesh and earn Guruji's blessings. If we have the kesh and dont live as a Sikh, we should start living as a Sikh to bring honour to the Kesh. At the end of the day, nearly all Sikhs would look upon Guru Nanak Dev ji as a supremely wise teacher and in his Tenth Form, Guruji gave us a command to stand out. Make Naam the horse to drive the cart of rehat. It will make keeping Kesh easier.

Can amritdharis eat prawn cocktail crisps?

As per the Akaal Takht Sikh rehat maryada, meat and fish are allowed, just not halal. Most Amritdharis dont eat meat, fish or eggs. If your rehat is not to eat meat, just check if the crisps actually contain fish. Most of these crisps etc dont and are vegetarian. Its like the veggie burgers, just a flavour. Personally I never liked prawn cocktail, but tomato ketchup flavour is great!

I used wanted to say Thank You for the the Basics of Sikhi Leaflets, we used them yesterday at the Freshers and I was amazed how many people were interested!

Guru kirpa ji, thanks so much for using them. It was all Maharaaj kirpa to inspire us to make them so that other people could use them. We're making our next leaflet next, its a little longer but more in depth yet still pocket sized. Thanks also to the many people who helped it come to fruition, the designers, idea people, printing people, proof readers etc.

Is it okay to get high on marijuana and then meditate? Plz this is a serious question cuz iv done it before nd i seem to get bliss from it?!?

Firstly, no Sikh should smoke. Now in my past, I've gotten high off marijuana, but obviously not touched it since year 2000. However, there is no high like the Naam high. The problem with what you're doing is that how can you distinguish between the high of weed and the high of Naam. Secondly, if you need weed to get high but you cannot get high of naam, then you are not actually getting Naam. So my advice is, get rid of the weed and keep meditating on naam until you get beyond the high you ever got off weed. Then you wont need anything but meditation. Vaheguru!

I don't eat meat and I do not drink, i do my sewa when I can, but I'm not Amritdhari, and I don't think its right for me as of yet, does this make me a bad Sikh?

Good question and I'm sure a lot of people are asking this question. However, your question is incomplete.
You missed out on saying whether or not you chant Gods name and read Gurbani. Guruji says, "aaeio parran sunnan ko bani", that we have come on Earth to read and listen to Bani and through this we can lose our haumai. The path of a Sikh is set by Guru, and the first command of Guruji is "Jap", so if we're not reading bani or meditating on Gods name, all the food you eat is impure. Moreover, Guruji says that whilst we are afflicted with Haumai (sense of separation from God), then even our seva doesn't work. Some people get ego from doing seva. So Naam is the first command, ie as human beings and as Sikhs of Guru Nanak Dev ji, we must connect to God. Once we've connected and can maintain that connection, then the things you mentioned, ego not eating meat, not drinking, doing seva, these things are useful. Obviously they are useful anyway, but without Naam, its like making a great car and then just not bothering to drive it. Its like being superman and not flying. Sikhi is about Naam, without that, we're just a nice ethical philosophy. Sikhi is much more than
"O Sikhs of Guru, my friends, walk on Gurus path. Whatever Guru says, accept that as good, the explanation of chanting Gods name is Unique". You should watch this video.

Should Amritdhari women cover their heads? Wear a patka, dastaar or chunni at all times? From where I come from, amritdhari women do not cover their heads and they do not wear their kirpans in public. Instead, they keep their kanga, kirpan in their handbags. Do you know it's practical?

Yes, Amritdhari women should cover their heads at all times, with patka, chunni or dastaar. Just to remind you that Amrit is a choice, its a gift, its not forced. As an Amritdhari you should be focusing on paat or naam and we always cover our head when doing that. Also, kanga should stay in the hair, it should be wooden as it helps to absorb static electricity. Finally the Kirpan is not an accessory, its a kakaar, it cannot stay in a handbag, it should be accessible and on the person at all times. That is the practical way to carry a weapon. If your handbag got stolen..?

i'm a muslim girl who wears hijab and i work with a turbaned sikh guy at work. I find him very attractive and other turbaned guys and we get on really good. We have recently been going out as friends but i feel I want to be his woman. How do I ask him out without making it bait?

Bhenji, even though we are all humans, Guruji is very clear that a Sikh man should never marry a Muslim woman and that we shouldnt have relationships outside marriage. Even a famous Sikh General Hari Singh Nalua faced a very similar situation when a beautiful afghani lady wanted to bear his children as he was so impressive. Hari Singh Nalua actually said to the lady that he will happily be her son but he cannot have her as his wife. Also Raja Ranjit Singh was sevely chastised by Akaali Phoola Singh for marrying a muslim girl.
Now, there are thousands of people that we might find attractive, but it doesn't mean we should go out with them all. We have to be practical as well. It seems that you follow your faith, I'd recommend you date and marry someone who is Muslim as many relationships now break up and its best to invest your time and effort in something that will be successful and stress free in the long term. God bless.

In Dhanaasaree, First Mehl, Guru Nanak says "In the Court of the Lord, three inscriptions are recorded". Do we know what those three inscriptions are or what they refer to please?

I'm guessing its either to do with how much your mind was involved in Rajo Tamo or Sato Gun or its to do with our Man, Bach and Karam, ie what we thought, what we said and what we did.

What does tribhavan mean? Translations say 3 worlds, but what worlds are they talking about?

watch the second video on Jaap Sahib, it refers to the Heavenly Realms, Earthly Realms and Hellish Realms, ie where the demi-gods (devi-devte), humans (Nar) and Demons (daint) live.

Can I become part of Basics Of Sikhi (as in be hired) on the condition that I would NOT want money for it?

You'd be welcome. In fact, if our fundraising doesn't pick up, then we will all be working without any money!
Seriously though, we'd have to sit down and have a serious conversation and more importantly, if you did join us, then we'd want to make sure that your personal situation was such that you could focus on parchar without family/personal financial difficulties.

What does nau nidh mean, what are the 9 treasures

Sikhiwiki - its Nine powers that the Yogis sought. Guruji says that Naam comes with all 9, so ofter in Bani, Nau Nidh is actually talking about Naam.

I ❤ Sikhi so much.I don't drink & don't do a lot of bad things because I learned from the GGSJ that it's bad.I feel I am not as much into Sikhi as a was before. never feel like doing paath anymore. I try forcing myself, per mera mun nahi lagta.I try doing paath but it's not same. AM I losing faith?

Naah, you aint losing faith, you just losing the war against your mind. If you mind is not interested, thats because Paath will destroy your current mindset and change it to Gurmukh mindset. Its about the mind self-preservation instinct. So if you want to kill that mind, then dont listen to the mind. Just like in training, we will hit a plateau and have to push through to get higher results, then we have to do the same in Sikhi. Also, if paath is not hitting you, then dont reduce the time you spend doing paath, but actually do other things like Seva, listening to Kirtan or Katha, reading inspirational books about Sikhs and most important of all, doing "Sadh Sangat", not chilling with mates over a movie, but doing real Sadh sangat, where Naam is being spoken, sung, discussed.
Guruji hasn't gone anywhere, Sikhi is still what it is, just you need to make the effort to go over this hurdle.

My brother used to be the most rebellious person. He did such bad things and drugs. Somehow, he just became Amritdhari now by his own choice. He is really good now. How did this happen? Was this Khalsa's hukam?

Akaal! Your brother is just one of many hundreds that Guruji is pulling back into the Panth. All these people know what the rest of society is like, and so when the Panth will grow, they will be able to relate to the average lad and ladette out there (both punjabi and non-punjabi). btw, there are thousands more of the future khalsa that are currently in pubs and clubs, but they will be leaving all that behind. The Army is being assembled yo! And yes, its Guru's hukam (Will) and it will be done.
