VJKK VJKF. There is going to be a party that id have to attend need advise Ji. Have been on this blessed path for a few months now how do I carry myself in such situations, I use to drink so use to enjoy places like that but not no more Ji. VJKK VJKF

Jo jaisī sangaṯ milai so ṯaiso fal kẖĝė. According to the company one keeps, so are the fruits that one eats"
we are defined by our sangat and environment. This is difficult but what we need to try do show our family is that this is not the path for those who want to play the game of love with the guru. Since you have been blessed with Amrit then you are the son of guru gobind singh Ji.... and would you see baba Ajit singh at parties etc.
We need to first speak to the family members who's party it is and explain why you cant come and give your reasons. Instead of going to the party go the the Gurdwara and sit with the sadh sangat and SGGS Ji.

ya but is it good or bad if a girl makes out with a serbian

as in a none marriage relationship ?
if so Yh... if their both sikh and want to follow the path of the guru then there is no problem IF they are husband and wife.

Is there anything wrong with being in a relationship? Relationship as in nothing physical or anything as such ..?

yep, there's no commitment and what's the point of just having a relationship... might as well just be friends with someone.
relationships always lead to more things and we only need one support in this world.... we only need to make one truw relationship and thats with SGGS Ji.

VJKK VJKF. How will I know when to take Amrit? When is the right time?

when you ask someone when should I take Amrit :p
thats you inside trying to see if the world will support you.... but truth is when you have been blessed with Amrit you have got all the support in the world.
Who doesn't want the support of guru gobind singh Ji?, who doesn't want a father like guru gobind singh Ji?

I want to visit Punjab and possibly visit the takhts how would I get around like how do I hire drivers and are they're safe etc it's a silly question but need this to be answered if I was to visit

best to go with sangat, ask sikh2inspire if they have any spaces for this years visit to the takhts ji

In which situations would a Sikh use the kirpan? What if the threat of the kirpan antagonises an attacker, then what would should one do? I'm aware it's legal to carry the kirpan in the UK, but can a Sikh actually use the weapon?

Guru Gobind Singh Ji writes - 'when all other methods fail, it is just to hold the sword in hand,' that's when a Sikh should use it. Regarding to law a Sikh will be prosecuted but the Guru always comes first.

Is it right to use "Dev" at the end of the Guru's name like "Guru Nanak Dev Ji " beecause it say's in the gurbani that 'Gur jaisa nahi ko daev' ?

That shabad is saying 'there is no deity equal to the Guru.' I think your misunderstood the Shabad ji.

why should a Hindu converting to Sikhism change his name? to Punjabi is Guru Nanak only Punjab Guru !! y cant a gora Sikh b called Andrew Singh for example !!

You don't have to change name, but if you want the blessing of a name from Guru Sahib, then you can.

People say that there are panj granth. But I've only ever heard of three; Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Dasam Granth and Sri Sarbloh Granth. What are the other two ?

Hanji there our three Granths. I think you're getting confused with Panj Granthi which is a Pothi of Panj Baniya that many Gursikhs had extra in their Nitnem - Shabad Hajare, Sidh Gost, Bavan Akhari, Sukhmani and Asa Ki Vaar.

my white friends kike my karay and they ask me to get one for them is it okay to give them a kara even though their not sikh?

The Kara is a gift from our Guru which acts like handcuffs to remind us who we are. If someone doesn't believe in Guru then should they be wearing Kara? That would be hypocrisy.

Veer Ji My son gets bullied because of kesh and I don't know what to do can u help me

Get in contact with the Sikh Helpline jee, bullying in kids can destroy their whole lives, even it's small - an avalanche starts from a snowball stop it before it escalates.

i am a sikh boy with a turban and beard but because of work and family i only get to do rehraas in the evening time, however i go to the gurudwara everyday. is this ok? what do you suggest

Vaheguru - that's Kirpa. Daas (servant) would recommend you wake up 10minutes earlier and listen/read Japji Sahib, keep your Rehras going and take a few minutes before sleeping to do Kirtan Sohila if you don't already. Then you will have the basic Nitnem ji. Start arming yourself with knowledge, listen to more Katha and start with Japji Sahib playlist. Also try listen to Kirtan on the go - just keep the Sikhi going throughout the day!

Wjkk wjkf veer ji! I am stuck in life and somehow my bani has reduced I am having difficulty in education at school and feels like Kirpa haini maharaj di what should I do?:(

VJKK VJKF! Don't give up jee, we're all fighting an individual fight. Whenever we go through tough times always remember - dhukh dhaaroo sukh rog bhaeiaa jaa sukh thaam n hoee, Suffering is the medicine, and pleasure the disease, because where there is pleasure, there is no desire for God. Vaheguru is testing you, don't forget that. In regards to Nitnem and education would recommend watching following video:

where can I find easy translation of jaap sahib in English or hindi or may be audio of punjabi? in some eng translation they used hard words that I dont understand. Thanks alot veer ji. may waheguru bless you. you guys are doing a great work. just wanted to tell I love watching your videos.

All Guru's Kirpa jee, we only run with Sangat's support. It's best to go through Katha for Japji Sahib, translations don't do justice. There's lots of Punjabi Katha of Japji Sahib online we also have it on our channel in English...

Either after kirtan sohila Ji

Are sikhs allowed to any form of contraception

Contraception in sikhi isn't something we would suggest as the reason for sex is for conception. Therefore with every consequence there is a result... in the case of contraception which actually reduces the chance of conception (have chance it can fail) but this can also lead to lustful thoughts and therefore our desires becoming uncontrollable as we have given into them.
Siri Guru Dasam Granth:
when I came to a mature age my guru told me; son, remember these teachings for the rest of your life; love and care for you wife daily, but never even in your dreams go into the bed of another woman. those that have sexual relation with someone other than their spouse, they die the death of a dog.
From the above we can learn that when a sikh comes to the age for marriage and marrys; that either partner will be with you for the rest of your life. Therefore it is not paap to have sexual relations with your wife if you have lustful desires as there is a special relationship formed between man and women explained in the Lavaa bani. If we suppress these thoughts to such a degree then it can lead to frustration and anger which then can affect a marriage. Also the suppression of lust in one or both of the partners in the relationship lead to thoughts & dreams of other men/women which Guru Teg Bahadur in the above bani said those who do this will die the death of a dog.
We however want to get to the stage where we can control our lust as this energy is powerful can be used for simran. We want to change this Kaam to Naam.
so girehee jo nigrehu karai ( he alone is a householder who restrains his passions) so our guru wants us to control our senses and desires and thats how we can go deeper within and find the true guru.
To implement this then we need to do it in a way which we can handle. For example if you have sexual intercourse 3 times a week then slowly cut it down to 2 times after a week or two etc. Until you can handle without it.
