Those that merge into Vaheguru and lose all their ego completely are true Mahapurakhs and yes we can go to Mahapurakhs. But a true Sant won't join you with themselves but with Guru because they've lost their ego. Many people to go to Mahapurakhs and they can give Bachans (orders) to us on how to get closer to Vaheguru.

Many Sikhs tend to have a problem with people choose to tie a Kenyan "starched" turban. Surely a dastaar is a dastaar at the end of the day, no what what manner in which you decide to tie it?

I wouldn't say its not a dastaar but Rehatnama Bhai Nand Laal Jee says:
ka(n)ghaa dhono vakath kar paag chunai kar baa(n)dhhee ||
Comb your hair twice a daily and re-tie your turban each time your wear it.
We should be tying our dastaar daily and not taking it off like a hat as it's not just cloth for us but a crown.

I have a haircut and have just recently become really religious and really want to take amrit so for 1 month my trying it I'm not cutting my hair I'm a vegetarian i don't drink alcohol any way but I find amrit vela really hard how can I over come this?

Waheguru - Guru is showering Kirpa on you jee! It's great you want to take amrit but don't just leave it as something you want to do, make it a reality - Maharaj says, "With our own hands, let us resolve our own affairs. ||20||"
Regards to Amrit Vela, it's hard for everyone at the start, don't expect Amritvela to be easy overnight - it took Bhai Rama Singh Ji 20 years (recommend reading Bhai Sahib's Autobiography). For amritvela, aim to eat earlier at night at not too heavy. Amritvela is very precious and we should make effort to take care of it just as we'd take special care of wordly valuables.
Most important thing is to do your Kirtan Sohila and do Ardas to Maharaj to wake up at the time desired and you will be awoken. Personal tip is just as you are in bed Jaap naam which is very important. Naam does the work of a cleaner and cleaning the mind at night is extremely important - a clean mind sleeps more deeply and wakes up more alert. Then the important amritvela is much more effective since much of the work has been done at night with a Naam-ed mind you will jaap naam during sleep too!
Amritvela is the best time as there's no distractions, you're mind will be fresh and easy to settle in Gurbani/Naam for longer. Waking up after Amritvela will also bring more bad thoughts/vices.
It's good to also if possible rest for a little after nitnem to prevent fatigue during day

WJKK WJKF, Paji you should find out when next Amrit Sanchaar is and go and ask Panj Pyare jee. Masturbating is a physical action so its best to get proper advice from the Panj ASAP.

I believe in the principles of Sikhi. Would I be considered Sikh since I haven't taken Amrit? I am aware this is the case with Punjabis (they can be considered Sikh without taking Amrit), how would I identify myself as a white British female, who believes in Sikhi? Am I Sikh?

Yes you would ji, you don't have to be an Amritdhari to be a Sikh but you have to take amrit to be a Khalsa. Bhai Gurdaas Ji writes, "Sikhi is - the Guru orders and the Sikh follows." If you're trying to follow this path and you're learning then YES you're a Sikh.

Can a girl wear a turban without taking Amrit? I have seen many guys that wear a turban but they haven't taken Amrit yet.

Yes I think wearing a dastar if you keep the honour of Sikhi is okay. No drinking or doing drugs etc. Bear in mind that most people will assume that you are Amritdhari so again keep a high standard of behaviour. maharaaj Kirpa kare

Veerji i heard if u do sukhmani shiab it is equal to doing 24 hrs of simrin.. So does that mean every astpadi is a hour of simrin? And if so then can it also be considered a substitute for simrin? Bhul chuk maaf karni veerji for anything that seemed dum, was jus curious : )

VJKK VJKF, you probably have to read the whole of Sukhmani sahib to get the full benefit, but reading bani is obviously great. I dont think you should do the maths in this way... think of all the days we've wasted before coming into Sikhi and since then as well. Maybe the paat makes up for those wasted days.. :)

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fatheh. Where have you obtained your knowledge? I have looked into courses on Sikhi, however there is one course in Birmingham, and I live in Yorkshire. I would love to go India to learn Santhiya but I am unable to do this as I have a young child. Please advise

Listen to parchariks like Giani Kulwant Singh, Giani Pinderpal SIngh, Sant Singh Maskeen ji, read books like Puran Singh, Se Kinehiya, read steeks like Sahib Singh, Faridkot Teeka, Amir Bhandar and jap naam and read bani. You can get Santhiya from Damdami Taksal Singhs living in the UK and also use www.gursevak.com to help you. You need time and dedication and love.

Why was sikhi revealed so late? We have some different beliefs with other religions such as idol worship and reinncarnation. So why was it not revealed earlier, wouldn't that have been more beneficial. I am a Sikh and watched a Utube video on athiesm and this question just isn't leaving my head!

200k years from now, no one will care about the small difference in years between Sikhi and other faiths.. Mankind has been around for 200k years, and only on last 3500 did formal religions occur. Sikhi is perfect and was revealed by God to keep the Truth at the forefront.. the age doesn't matter since no soul dies, all either get liberation or get re-incarnated.

Vaheguru is NirVair, no hate. I doubt that nothing ever goes right for you. You're using the internet and educated, probably you live in the west in an affluent society and after education you will get a job and have plenty to eat. You're in the top 5% of the world population. The first step towards Guruji is through thankfulness.

VJKK VJKF, your English could be better but I think you're saying that you promised Guruji something as part of an ardaas for help and now Guruji has fulfilled his part of the promise and you are regretting your part. I think thats called "lying" or "false promises". I'd recommend that you stick to your side because without our word, what are we?

Was Guru HarGovbind secular in nature? He created Akal takh seperatly from Harminder sahib which means he want to keep political judgement seperate from spiritual beliefs. Akal Takh is not visible from Harminder sahib which means once you absorb spiritually, you don't seek any political advice. ???

The point of this was, whilst praying, dont worry about worldly matters, but whilst ruling the world, always worry about spiritual teachings.. :)

Me and my sister are the only singhni's at school (with dumallas) but for some reason day by day i keep reducing my paat. (i feel really guilty about this) i used to do my paat on the I pad (easier and clearer) but got told by family not to as i only get half of what i would get by D.I.Y what to do

Do your Paat either on ipad or phone but do it... progress to reading yourself, but dont go backwards, always forwards! :)

Sikhi says it was the Big Oang Theory... the sound wasn;t a Bang, was Oang.. Like from Singularity (Ik), there was expansion of a Large Sound (Oang) and the World was created (aKaar)
