I was scrolling through these questions and learned stuff but LOL I found the exam one hilarious because I would probably ask something like that LOL I do get upset when I fail a test and people that are not technically religious get like 90% but a few are Christians so yea. Not a big deal Ahahh

Guru Arjan Dev Ji tell us in this Shabad to first of all accept death and the fact that we are going to die in the end, and then give up all desires that we have. We should become the dust of the feet of all, which means to lose ego and serve everyone seeing Vaheguru in all. After we do all of this then Guru Arjan Dev Ji says come to me.
Amrit is a blessing it only comes with Guruji gives it, if you're ready to surrender to Guru then take Amrit. Carry on doing Ardaas and make effort yourself to keep your Rehat and just wait for next Amrit Sanchaar. Guruji tells us, "with our own hands, lets solve our own affairs."

How to do Japji when I drop my Kanga? I can listen to it on the go, while studying?

Personally when I drop a Kakkar I find it best to do a Japji Sahib by reading and sitting down. If you cant then you can also listen but I'd recommend focusing on it.

sant baba thakur singh ji said that sant jarnail singh ji bhindrawale are still alive..and ive been reading online and some people believe this, which is why current leader of taksal is still santji? what do you think bhai sahib? is santji still here in physical form?

Sant Sander Singh Ji did Bachan too dad he will be alive. Baba Thakur Singh Ji said before they left this world that Santji is still here. Daas has Sharda (faith) that Santji is here...

nope, we die our soul is taking by jamdhoots (their like collectors).... then we go to the court of Dharma Raj who will give us our accounts (what we have done in our life) then we go on to our next life if we didn't jap enough naam. Or we become one with vaheguru

veerji I was betrayed by the girl I loved, she left me alone when she promised to god she would never leave me. now she's talking to other guys and I feel like I have lost everything. does Vaheguru still love me becuz I feel so much on my own, my world has been turned upside down. Idk whr to go

Vjkk vjkfateh,
a relationship in the modern world is not truly based on love but more so attachment. love is something with no end and is the same for each person you see.... that's true love. The love of this world is finite and will die, but the love of vaheguru is limitless.
What we need to first try to understand is that a relationship based out of marriage has no commitment value nor can you guarantee that it will lead to marriage as our lives can take so many dips and turns.
Therefore we should try to remove desires and expectations. If we fall short of our desires or expectations it can lead to dukh (pain).
We can do this by focusing our energy to a new direction I.e. towards a new activity like going to the gym, gurbani santiya, reading etc. something productive which will help improve your own Jevan.
next dukh Daroo Sukh rog paaioo ( pain is the medicine) where there is pain then there is a chance a grow and develop as well learn from that life experience. With this pain fall at the feet of the guru and do Ardas and jap naam for help. Ask for a true relationship with that guru who will never let go of your hand nor turn his back on you. Remember wherever there is wordly pleasure then there is pain. In the gurus game of love we break past the cycle of Sukh and dukh.
The only one true love & the one who will never will let you go is Vaheguru. Don't put your faith in people.. Put it all in vaheguru.

yep... but this is the same for everyone in the world... just have to get used to it. When I'm in lecture theatre making notes I have write as well.
You get used to it after abit.

You say to be vegetarian. It seems to me the SGGS doesn't say NOT to eat meat but gives analogies and rhetorical questions. How can we be vegetarian if everything comes from life and is made of flesh, including water containing micro-organisms? What verses do you use to justify your vegetarianism?

Answer:
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੋਰੀ ਕੀਏ ਜੁਲਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਹਤਾ ਨਾਉ ਹਲਾਲੁ ॥
ਦਫਤਰਿ ਲੇਖਾ ਮਾਂਗੀਐ ਤਬ ਹੋਇਗੋ ਕਉਨੁ ਹਵਾਲੁ ॥੧੮੭॥
"O Kabeer! Those that use force and kill and call it lawful, after going to the Court of God, what will be their state? ||187||"
(SGGS - Ang 1374)
Question: But my friends told me that I should eat meat because it is good for me and will make me strong. Is it that bad if I have meat now and again?

ਕਬੀਰ ਖੂਬੁ ਖਾਨਾ ਖੀਚਰੀ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੋਨੁ ॥
ਹੇਰਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਗਲਾ ਕਟਾਵੈ ਕਉਨੁ ॥੧੮੮॥
"O Kabeer! The dinner of beans and rice is excellent, if it is (just) flavoured with salt. I am not ready to have my own throat cut to have meat with my bread? ||188||"
(SGGS - Ang 1374)
Question: But Guru Jee, why can't Sikhs eat meat?
Answer:
ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਕਿਸੈ ਜੀਅ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵਉ ॥
"Do not cause any being to suffer, and you shall go to your true home with honor."
(SGGS - Ang 322)
Question: That's all good, but I have seen Nihang Singhs do Jhatka and they say that its on going tradition to slaughter goats and eat its meat. So is it okay for the Nihang Singhs to do Jhatka?
Answer:
ਜੀਅ ਬਧਹੁ ਸੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਪਹੁ ਅਧਰਮੁ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਤ ਭਾਈ ॥
ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਮੁਨਿਵਰ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਪਹੁ ਕਾ ਕਉ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਸਾਈ ॥2॥
"You kill living beings, and call it a righteous action. Tell me, brother, what would you call an unrighteous action? If you religious people are doing "religious" killing for meat, then what is A-dharam (atheism)? If you are a religious person then whom will we call a butcher? ||2||"
(SGGS - Ang 1103)
Question: Okay. What about eating fish? I suppose that isn't really meat?
Answer:
ਕਬੀਰ ਭਾਂਗ ਮਾਛੁਲੀ ਸੁਰਾ ਪਾਨਿ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਖਾਂਹਿ ॥
ਤੀਰਥ ਬਰਤ ਨੇਮ ਕੀਏ ਤੇ ਸਭੈ ਰਸਾਤਲਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥੨੩੩॥
"O Kabeer! Those mortals who consume marijuana, fish and wine - no matter what pilgrimages, fasts and rituals they follow, they will all go to hell. ||233||"
(SGGS - Ang 1377)
Question: Guru Jee, can eat meat and still do Bhagti (devotional worship)?
Answer:
ਜਉ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਕਹਤ ਹਉ ਤਉ ਕਿਉ ਮੁਰਗੀ ਮਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
"If in all is the one God, then why kill a chicken?"
(SGGS - Ang 1350)
Question: Does it affect our spirituality if we eat meat?
Answer:
ਜੇ ਰਤੁ ਲਗੈ ਕਪੜੈ ਜਾਮਾ ਹੋਇ ਪਲੀਤੁ ॥
ਜੋ ਰਤੁ ਪੀਵਹਿ ਮਾਣਸਾ ਤਿਨ ਕਿਉ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਚੀਤੁ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਉ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਕਾ ਦਿਲਿ ਹਛੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥
ਅਵਰਿ ਦਿਵਾਜੇ ਦੁਨੀ ਕੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਰੇਹੁ ॥੧॥
"If one's clothes are stained with blood, the garment becomes polluted. Those who drink the blood of others - how can those people's consciousness be pure?"
(SGGS - Ang 140)
Question: Guru Jee does becoming a vegetarian make me religious? If I just give eating meat, does that please you?
Answer:
ਮਾਸੁ ਮਾਸੁ ਕਰਿ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਝਗੜੇ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
ਕਉਣੁ ਮਾਸੁ ਕਉਣੁ ਸਾਗੁ ਕਹਾਵੈ ਕਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਪ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥
"Only the fool quarrels over the question of eating or not eating of the meat; that person does not have the True Wisdom. (Without True Wisdom or Meditation), the person harps on which is flesh and which is not flesh and which food is sinful and which is not."
(SGGS - Ang 1289-1290)

I am currently growing my hair I have been inspired by sikhi! Shall I cover my head now or wait until my hairs grows long enough to tie into a joora?

I personally wore a patka first then moved onto a dastar when I learnt how to tie it.
That was my personal preference Ji

vgkk vgkf there's this girl I love and cared a lot for her. she never wanted to be with me. she brought me back to Sikhi. today,she's married to someone else. I try to stay away from attachment,but at times I still stalk her profile. then I get sad. what to do? she's the reason I'm close to God.

I take santheya class and we were reading SGGS and we came on this part that described the messenger of death and it sounded like the messenger was being described as half man half horse kind of guy, is that true and will the people who do not connect to Waheguru c this thing instead of the gurus
