Is Kaam the most dangerous out of the 5 thieves

Ahankaar is root of all as we get lust, anger, greed and attachment through being egotistical. However everyone has different thieves that affect them most.

VJKK VJKF!! What Paath should we do when we feel scared and need protection? Should I read Chaupai Sahib a lot of times? For example before I go to bed I need Guru Jis protection. After I read Rehras and Sohila what other Paath can I do? Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!!!!

VJKK VJKF! Any paath will work but Chaupai Sahib is known for protection, do 5/10 min simran before you sleep - you'll feel a lot better ji!

I started off always doing my jaapji sahib but then I stoped a little but now I really want to start doing it again will guru ji forgive the days I missed it

Guruji is forever forgiving, just get back into the routine jee..

Is there a difference with reading paat from your phone and a gutka?

Reading from Gutka Sahib is a lot more beneficial as that's Guru in Parthak (physical) form, can you imagine doing Chaur Sahib over phone!

Should you do mata tek even when maharaaj is not in parkash, because of the shaster? And if so, why?

Its out of respect as we see Guru Granth Sahib Ji as living Guru so wherever they are that place becomes blessed - 'Jithe Jahhe Bahe Mera Satgur, So Thaan Suhava Raam Raje'

Guru Nanak dev ji maharaj describes akaal purakh do they not? I can't rmemeber the ang sorry. But how come we say that guru Nanak dev ji maharaj was god? So on that ang they're describing themselves?

Gurbani says know the Guru & Vaheguru to be the same.

what do we do when we want to matha tech at a gurudwara but have no money etc to give when bowing down (at that particular time)

Gurus not asking for our money when we put money down it's called a offering meaning saying 'oh Vaheguru what I put before you is a reminder to myself that everything belongs to You'. Doing Matha-Tek means I am surrendering my math (intellect) to you Guru Sahib in return of Gurmath (Gurus Wisdom).

I know it's hukam to not associate with those who've committed child infanticide, but what about those who choose the gender of their child, scientifically ? Is that allowed in Sikhi ?

Nothing of that subject is mentioned

At what point during ardaas do you ask for something?

There's a section in Ardaas that is all about asiking 'Sikhs nu Sikhi daan, kes daan, rehit daan......but if you felt you still need to ask for something ontop then you would ask after nimaania de maan....

I have utmost faith in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, but have concerns about the rehit. Firstly because there are two versions And secondly because it is basically an interpretation of what people feel should be the 'rule book' Should I look for answers in sggsj? As I'm not interested in Jathas. Thanks

Rehit gives us focus but yes contemplate on GGSJ's Bani to understand Rehit for what it means to you

What do you think in relation to people who say you don't need to wear a pagh and keep kesh to be a good Sikh?

That's there way not the Gurus way. That's not Gurprasad with Gurus kirpa.

Wjkk wjkf.. I have a non punjabi name & I wud lyk to go to the gurdwara and get a letter and change my name to a punjabi name but da problem is parents wnt allow me 2 change it legally so iz it ok if I can still do it but keep my real name as my legal name but ppl call me by da new name?

Vjkk, Vjkfateh,
Hanji that's fine

VJKK VJKF I want to take Amrit but I don't know nitnem, like all the pronouncitations. I wear the Kakars and I have stopped ratjng meat but for some reason I just can't learn the bani and I also do not know Gurmukhi should I wait or should I take it in August

Vjkk, Vjkfateh,
If your ready to give you head then don't wait cuz that could be dangerous in the sense you might not maintain that feeling in a few months.
Until you don't learn how to pronounce correctly, listen & follow the Bani

I have watched many youtube videos of sant ranjit singh dhadrianwale and i cant seem to figure out if he is a good person or not some have said he isn't while others have said he is, what does basics of sikhi think? I.e that video where he is on the phone and "blessing" ppl who are bowing down tohim

There's a lot of false/lies online, don't believe everything you see. See the Parchaar that' being done and judge for yourself!

How to find sangat that has truly abandoned kaam, krodh, lobh, moh, ahankaar, and is oriented towards Guru in thought, speech, and action? I feel completely alone!

One that was completely lost all 5 evils is a true 'Sadhu' as they've controlled (Sadh Karna) themselves. In this world it is rare to find a true Sadhu/Sant. Have to do Ardaas truly from heart with faith for Range Hoye Gursikhs (Gursikhs completely drenched with love for Vaheguru)!

Should we matha tek to our shaheeds?

Mentally we bow down to them and their sacrifices. But if you truly want to respect the Shaheeds then follow the Sikhi the Shaheeds did

Vjkk vjkf. Wanting to do good in studies is nij bal or permaser bal?

VJKK VJKF! Nij bal - we have to work hard in life as it's part of the game.

I'm not very fluent in Punjabi. Is it acceptable to read the Ardas from the gutka and when the "open" part comes (where you say what you're doing the Ardas for), switch to English? I'm not doing it in front of sangat, just my personal Ardas for when I complete paaht or to do Babaji's prakash or Su

Hanji it's fine for personal Ardaas, Vaheguru understands all languages.
