What do you think about recycling?
It's mostly a feel good industry and a scam. People feel good about themselves when they recycle and that's why it exists. Even though it's not better for the environment.
Things that have real value are worth recycling. But there's absolutely no point in having "newspaper", "magazines", "soft plastic, "hard plastic" etc etc stations to recycle. The only thing you do is letting out more pollution and wasting energy by driving around a lot more.
Metal, shit that burns and food/organic, plastic and dangerous items (like car batteries etc) are more then enough. But people want to feel good about themselves so they come up with new shit all the time.
My hometown is considered the best "environmental friendly" town in my country. We had a green bag for food, one for shit that burns and a random color for others. And we recycle our plastic bottles and cans. That's it.
