How does the Internet influence your life?

the internet definitely rules my life in a way. I've had access to computers since I was a baby since my dad was a tech person, so as soon as I knew how to use an internet browser, I did. I'd spend hours on youtube, playing games, and browsing the web as a kid !!

that led me to find and become a part of certain communities online, especially those focusing on art, animals, and ocs. I became more serious about art from the internet, and I've gotten multiple tablet's to make digital art since then.

nowadays, I still use the internet for similar things. I talk to friends that I can't see in person, I draw digital art and share it online, and I'm still a part of those online communities. I don't know what I'd do without the internet. honestly, it made me who I am today and I'm so grateful for it.

I don't think I have a best friend right now tbh? everyone that I considered a close friend has been too busy with classes to talk to me, and they've probably made better friends on campus and have dropped me at this point.

a few of my older friends have been talking to me again, but it's nothing like a close friendship, either. obviously a lot of my friends come and go — they only talk to me once every few months so,,,,,idk aah //shrug

every few years I'll go with my friends or out-of-state family, but I don't go otherwise. I usually don't find movies enjoyable tbh

it definitely depends on the meaning of 'vet' in this case <:
if you mean a veterinarian, no, I haven't !! I've only met one or two when I took my cats in. but if you mean a veteran, then yeah !! a lot of my family members are veterans and I love them a lot ?

Hahaha ur cute. Actually rpg accounts are a great way to understand urself more. I used to do that long ago. And learned alot about myself. And learned about the real world and how to deal with ppl.

aw, thank you !! I used to roleplay with friends online when I was in high school, but I've never created an account specifically for portraying those characters since we'd roleplay via dms. it sounds like a lot of fun, though ^v^

this is very true !! on the outside I'm a shy introvert, but I'm the total opposite inside. I definitely feel a lot more comfortable chatting with people online since I don't have to show my face or fear any sort of rejection. it feels good to be able to talk freely and not hold things back like I normally would <:

today was very anxiety-provoking for me to say the least. I love my friends a lot, but please — please, for the love of god I'm begging you — don't show up at my house absolutely out of the blue wanting to hang out.

I was really sick last night so I wasn't able to sleep until 4 am, so of course my friend comes over four or five hours later and my mom wakes me up to go talk to her,,,,,and I felt really sick again both from the lack of sleep and from not eating anything while we talked.

then she invites me to a girls' day out, which of course I can't turn down because she drove 30 minutes to get to my house and I haven't seen her in ages so I might not see her again for a long while,,,,,even though my insides are screaming at me for being an idiot and not going back to bed or eating pfft. plus eating away from home makes me really anxious even though my gi issues are resolved at this point,,,,,

so needless to say, I felt really sick, stressed, and anxious most of the day from being forced into a social situation that I never even asked for until therapy late this afternoon was able to calm me down. and I'm still not super happy about the change of plans since I was going to take a shower and do my makeup today, neither of which got done sajdhjsakhk. I won't be going out so I don't have a reason to do my makeup again for a whole week ?

I love drawing, painting, dancing, riding my bike, and playing soccer ? I'd love to learn how to ice skate and skateboard, and I'd love to get better at dancing since I'm so clumsy LOL

it depends on whether they like you or not !! being bi is really no different aside from liking two genders instead of one. just like how a straight person doesn't like everyone of the opposite gender, people who are bi don't like everyone, either, but they also form crushes just like straight people, so it really depends on if they might fancy the idea of being with you or not <:

I think that jealousy or envy is a totally normal emotion to feel; however, you should never hurt a friend by trying to break a bond they have with someone. that's just being unfair to your friend and being a bad friend in general. there are a lot better ways to handle it imo !!

for example, if you're jealous of your friend being close with someone else, you could address the situation with your friend 1x1 and tell them how you feel instead of holding your emotions in. they can't address a problem unless they know it's a problem in the first place, right? and if your friend had done that, that's when you could have reassured them that you were just friends and it was no reason to be upset. instead, they chose an awful path and we're horrible towards you,,,,,which really isn't right because friends should be happy when their friends are happy. friends shouldn't try to ruin things for their friends.

I do follow a slight code, though !! if someone is dating someone else, they're off limits. if my friend likes someone else, I encourage them to be together, even if I'm secretly jealous. and if a friend suddenly admits to liking someone that I liked first, I usually back off and give up because it simply isn't worth the fight,,,,,especially if I know that they're going to be actively pursuing the person ( unlike me who is probably too shy to talk to them ) so I wouldn't stand a chance anyways.

we weren't allowed to have phones out during class, but sometimes we were allowed to quickly pull them out to listen to music while we worked as long as we were doing our work ( not doing stuff on the phones besides the initial stuff to get the music playing ) and had the music playing through headphones. we were allowed to be on in between classes, though !!
