Would you rather have fire or ice powers?
Only answering for me, since I'm too lazy to do my chars x"D
This is a fairly hard choice for me, actually. But I'm pretty sure I'd go with ice, as cool as fire would be.
Could you imagine getting your powers for the first time and being unable to control them? What would happen if, for example, you were having a nightmare and your powers reacted to the dream while you were still asleep?
Fire could end up burning your home down and killing those you love. Could you imagine feeling responsible for your sibling or parent's death for the rest of your life, all because of the power you have accidentally let loose at the wrong time? The guilt would never go away, and you'd see your power as more of a curse than a blessing.
Fire burns almost anything it touches. I don't know if I could live my life knowing that one wrong move I make could possibly end someone's life.
If I could properly control it from the get go, sure, fire powers would be pretty rad to have. But think of what could go wrong.
