yeah! doctors have to weigh the risk vs reward whenever they prescribe medicine that can be harmful, damaging, or dangerous to the body. a good doctor would only prescribe something like that when they think it's worth the risks or is medically necessary.
I'm not currently on any medication like that, but a good example would be chemotherapy. it can really harm your body, but when you have something as bad as cancer, the reward //far// outweighs the risks most of the time (unless your body can't handle it or you're elderly and aren't expected to live long anyways).
doctors prescribe medicines for a reason. if you're worried, I'd talk to your doctor if you haven't yet about if any safer options are available and how critical it is that you take this harmful one. maybe there is something safer, or maybe it isn't medically necessary for you to take this. there are some bad doctors out there who will prescribe recent, potentially hazardous medications over older, scientifically proven ones to get money, though, so I'd question everything unless you trust them.
if it's necessary for you to take this medication, or even if it would just significantly improve your quality of life and nothing safer is available, then I'd say that it's worth it in my opinion! it would be a tougher call, though, if there's a safer, but less effective medication available for you to take instead. again, it's that risk vs reward.

I can't do an age gap over five years, it's just too much of a difference for me. it's growing up in different times, believing different things, and not having a whole lot in common even if it seems like you do at first. current trends change incredibly fast, much faster than you'd think. I know it can work in some cases, but it's definitely not for me.
I was actually in a situation where I had to decide if I was going to date someone eight years older than me. he was fun to be around, interesting to talk to, and he had a really nice stable job and a lot of money. I was just a broke, jobless high school grad who was sick all the time and I stayed home bored all day so he seemed like a miracle remedy to all of my problems in life. I could have the stability I really needed. I had someone to talk to and hang out in person with.
but in the end, the difference was just too great. I was just starting my life while he was already settled into his. although we liked the same things, I liked newer versions while he liked older ones. conversations became difficult because of his obscure references that I didn't understand, and I'm sure that he couldn't understand me most of the time, either.
I could have just played along even though I knew it wouldn't work, but I didn't want to do that to him so I told him the truth from the start: that it made me pretty uncomfortable and that I'd have to think about it, then that I'd thought about it and realized that it wasn't right. we're still friends now, we'll just never be anything more than that and that's okay.

I prefer instagram! I feel like I can really be myself there. facebook is full of family so I'm expected to behave a certain way around them, meanwhile instagram is full of friends who I don't have to put on a fake mask constantly for.

How do you feel about aromatherapy? You like or maybe you want to try it?

I have chronic nausea so I doubted it at first. I'm sensitive to smells and they can make it very bad if I'm not careful (hell, I can't even go into my kitchen without holding my breath !! the trash, sink, and dishwasher smell awful, meanwhile it doesn't bother anyone else in my family and they say they don't smell anything at all). I begrudgingly agreed to try it, though, and I actually found some scents that work wonders for me! I was very pleasantly surprised (:
I'm still sensitive to a good amount of smells, particularly lemon for some reason (my mom recently bought a kitchen lemon handsoap knowing full well that I can't be around it after trying a lemon and ginger oil mix at acupuncture so that's been pure torture LOL), but I've found others that are amazing like peppermint, lavender, and chamomile. aromatherapy can also help with my anxiety if I need to ground myself or distract myself temporarily — I have some essential oil jars that I carry on me at all times when I'm away from home and I'll sniff them as needed! candles and soaps also come in handy at home as a distraction, my favorite scents being lilac and sugar cookies.
all in all, I 100% recommend aromatherapy !! I'm definitely a believer now.

I guess it really depends on their age? in general, younger kids will probably talk and rely on their parents more while older ones will be much more independent. this isn't always the case, though, since there are a lot of younger kids who wish to live their own lives without meddling from parents or older children that want to make the most of their time with family before it's too late.

I have two pictures, I'll share one here and one in response to this question ♡ the picture below is the kitten that I rescued today!
there's a gray tabby boy (possibly with white paws), a brown / black tabby girl, and two brown / black tabby bicolors, one boy and one girl.
it's really easy to tell the last two apart because they look very different! the girl has larger white markings in a triangle on her face with more of a golden hue to her base color, while the boy has a thinner face marking and he's a much darker brown with more striping. on his head.
