[[yandere or tsundere? if you don't what that means, look it up]]

tsundere for sure !! I think it's cute (: there's something very charming about a person getting friendlier as they fall in love. not that people should force themselves upon people who act coldly towards them, but I enjoy the character trope of teasing someone before opening up to them LOL
I'm not a fan of yanderes at all. one of my exes seemed a bit like one which was very creepy and made me uncomfortable. he was very controlling and toxic, and got angry at male friends if they tried to even talk to me. I was worried that he'd actually hurt someone and say it was out of "love". gross.

What's one thing you remember being taught from school? Do you feel like what you remember is valuable knowledge?

sirenic’s Profile Photo• . ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞AͨNͧGͭEͤL
I can't remember much aside from random, funny things like "the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell" LOL
I feel like school didn't teach me about any of the things I had a genuine interest in, and if it eventually did, I was way past those basics already. I was very bored with it and started slacking off which was bad.
like,,,,,my art class in high school covered //gasp// THE COLOR WHEEL x"D like omg,,,,,mixing red and yellow makes orange,,,,,,,,,,,what a wild, insane concept that I had never heard of before x"DDD it would have been useful to learn something else like point perspectives, how to draw folds in clothing, or more in-depth color / value studies. but nah. it was as dumbed-down as possible because it was catering to everyone else who had never drawn in their lives, not to me.
I remember learning punnett squares in biology my freshman year of high school. I had already learned about them in my free time back in junior high, and by that point, I knew full dog coat color genetics and was working on cats, horses, and humans. I probably knew more about genetics than my teacher did,,,,,so re-learning something as basic as punnett squares felt like a punishment.
as for things like math and chemistry that actually challenged me,,,,,I haven't used any of that at all in the real world, and I've probably forgotten everything aside from basic algebra and geometry.
it would have been super cool if I could have just skipped ahead to focus on things I enjoyed. it didn't feel like valuable knowledge or something new and interesting. I have zero real-world skills. it was pretty darn pointless.

Have you ever passed the driver’s test?

giorgia_fitch16’s Profile PhotoGiorgia Fitch
I've never taken one 👀 the closest I got was taking driver's ed classes and passing the test twice to get my temps / learner's permit.
my life pretty much got put on hold when I was diagnosed with an illness in high school, then again when I was diagnosed with a panic disorder more recently. I've only driven once in my entire life, but I'd like to learn eventually! I think it would be a very big and important step in my life.

What is the first thing you look at when you see or talk to someone?

monicajames394’s Profile PhotoTeeny Meeny
I usually notice a person's eyes first - what color they are, what expression they give off, and what emotions they carry.
it's a bit ironic since I've never been good at eye contact xD but I think looking at someone's eyes helps me understand them a little bit better, even if I've never met them before.

How often do you draw? What do you like to draw?

I try to draw at least once a week (: I'll be starting a challenge in october, though, so I'll be drawing almost every day !! I participate in inktober every year, but I'll be doing a mix of that and staytober this time around.
I draw human, animal, and anthro characters in a kind of,,,,,cutesy, cartoony style? I really like experimenting with colors and adding sparkles. sometimes I'll draw fanart of real people or realism to mix things up, although I don't have any good examples of those right now.
here's a bunch of my art <3

Have you ever gone on a road trip?

sirenic’s Profile Photo• . ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞AͨNͧGͭEͤL
yeah! ^v^
my family used to drive to new york to visit my grandparents every year, about 10-12 hours one way. sometimes we'd take "detours" to see niagara falls, the new jersey coast, etc.
the biggest road trips I've ever been on, though, were with my school. we visited d.c., new orleans, and st. louis! I can personally confirm that sleeping in buses is very uncomfortable, but it was always fun LOL
there was also one time when my family went on a road trip down to georgia. there was a massive girl scout centennial camporee in savannah in 2012 and my mom's cousin(?) convinced up to go with them. it was very fun! but also loud. soooo loud. too many screaming kids xD

The weekend is here! Are you glad that the week is over? How was it for you?

sirenic’s Profile Photo• . ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞AͨNͧGͭEͤL
normally I'd be excited for the weekend, but this one has started out awfully stressful xD hopefully next weekend will be better!
my mom left for vacation this morning, which makes me nervous since she's the person I turn to for support with my anxiety. my dad is great, but it's just not the same without her here. it's unnervingly quiet.
on top of that, I think I've got the flu or food poisoning or something LOL. just my luck x"D the one time I actually need someone to help me, my mom is gone and my dad is too busy working in his office.
maybe the rest of this weekend will be much better and I'll enjoy it !! if not, there's always next weekend when my mom comes back xD

Women...you must oppose the PPA. The PPA is evil and twisted. The PPA may pass in Oregon soon.

I'm not sure what this is, nor can I find any information online 0: care to link me?

What's your sexual orientation?

I'm not exactly sure! I could be pan, or I could be a lesbian experiencing a heavy dose of comphet. I haven't really figured it out yet.
I know I'm very attracted to femininity and that masculinity just isn't my cup of tea. but,,,,,,guys. normal everyday guys? gross. no thanks. celebrities (like k-pop idols) that wear makeup and look more feminine? beautiful. glorious. 11/10. supreme.
the whole "male celebrities/fictional characters are completely unobtainable crushes and thus it allows the lesbian in question to distance themselves from men" thing is really,,,,,,,,,,,hmmmmmmmmmmm. could it be me? or could I just have a preference for femininity? I dunno.
I guess I'll figure it out eventually haha

Do u talk to strangers??

I'll talk to them if they talk to me first! I really like it when strangers talk to me, I'm just too shy to initiate conversation x"D I struggle a lot with approaching unfamiliar people.

What’s your favorite spot in the city or town you live in?

nikki_rides’s Profile PhotoNᴏᴄᴛᴜʀɴᴀʟ Eᴏ̨ᴜᴇsᴛʀɪᴀɴ- Nikki
there's a park close to my home that I love visiting 💜 my cover photo was taken there so I'll attach it here (:
the park is located in an old quarry in my city, with lots of trails around the cliffsides. there's a creek running through the park that kids like to play in, as well as a vine hanging from a tree that adventurous kids like to climb up. there's always people splashing in the creek, jogging on the trails, or walking their dogs. it's a small park, but not so small that it feels crowded.
my favorite part, though, is the wildlife! I loved going creeking and exploring as a kid to see cool animals. there's fish, crawdads, salamanders, snakes, owls, foxes, raccoons, squirrels, hawks, crows, mice, frogs, deer, you name it LOL. I even found some fossils in the rocks and misc animal bones at one point.
this place is like my second home. I love it there! 💜

Autistic person or person with autism? Which wording do you like better?

ooh,,,,,,,maybe the second since it highlights that they're a person before their autism? 0:
my brother is diagnosed with autism. over the years, I've learned that there's still a surprising amount of stigma around being autistic. it's really not a bad thing - he's a rad guy! his autism doesn't define him, he defines himself.
I wish more people would recognize them as actual people rather than a diagnosis (:

What should I do after watching a scary video that keeps me from sleeping?

here's what I do in similar situations (: I hope it can help someone!
first, I focus on calming down if I'm still actively panicking from whatever I watched. I do breathing exercises, I listen to calming music, and / or I take anxiety medications in severe cases.
when I'm able to, I focus on something else to distract myself and forget that I was scared in the first place. that might be watching a video on youtube, playing a game, talking with friends, or watching a tv show. immersing myself in it is suuuuuper important. the goal is to forget about the scary things entirely if possible. creepy games or games with jumpscares are definitely not recommended since they could make it worse.
after that, calming myself down physically after being ramped up from anxiety helps me sleep. I do this with lavender aromatherapy, a warm shower, asmr videos (facials and massages are really nice for some reason?), dog grooming videos (I highly recommend shu and tree for cute puppies!!!), or self-massages with my favorite bath and body works lotion.
good luck !! I hope some of that can be useful in the future <3

Do you like MOUNTAIN DEW

I like it, but I can't drink carbonated drinks anymore ): I used to live on mountain dew back in high school haha

how many followers do you have?

179 <3 but most of them probably aren't on ask.fm anymore since I've been here for like,,,,,,six years asjfdhkjhfdjbhdfhkj

Is there something you found out about yourself while using ASKfm?

yeah !! it wasn't necessarily because of the site, but I discovered that I was a member of the lgbtqa+ community during my time here (:

no, i'm not. Minorities need jobs but they got biden being biden instead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TJpnGCHtnA also the "racial jungle" comment

you clearly missed my previous posts about wishing there was a better dem nominee xD
I don't like biden, and I don't like having to settle and vote for him just so trump isn't president. I think we're harming ourselves as a country by constantly electing these politicians who are sketchy as heck and don't know what they're talking about. always mixed up in scandals. biden's speeches make me flat out uncomfortable and nervous.
will I vote for him? unfortunately, probably yes. I'll do what I have to do to avoid trump at all costs, but that doesn't mean that I'm happy about it. I'd much rather vote for someone like bernie - he was chaining himself to poc during the civil rights movement and even got arrested at a protest. and he was active at early lgbtqa+ pride festivals in the 80s. most politicians can't say that.

+1 answer in: “Ruth Bader Ginsburg is died? hardly a surprise she was old and sick. Now the news reports deaths like they do celebrity deaths, man America suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure is becoming a joke of a country.”

Do you wear a watch?

I used to have a pretty watch with raspberry-colored leather, but I lost it in my house and can't find it ): I'm hoping to get a new one, though! maybe a smart watch or fitness watch?
I need to be able to track my heart rate and blood pressure for medical reasons (I'm okay, but I have near-fainting spells if I stand for too long ahhh). I have a blood pressure monitor, but not a heart rate monitor yet.
I think certain smart watches or fitness watches can track heart stuff, and I think they can alert me if my heart rate changes or if I enter a dangerous heart rhythm 0: which would be perfect!

Serious questions: how many women on The View graduated college?

you know who didn't go to college?
michael faraday, the man who invented the electric motor, the electric generator, the bunsen burner, electrolysis, and electroplating. he discovered electro-magnetic induction, he discovered benzene, he figured out the shape of magnetic fields, he discovered metallic nano-particles (thought to be the birth of nano-science), and he discovered something complicated about chlorine. basically, he was a science machine who worked in a london book shop with virtually no formal education.
gregor mendel, the man who discovered genetics. mendel's experiments and results are the basis for everything we know about dna and inheritance today. he was an uneducated monk. my personal hero since I'm a genetics nerd~
mary anning, who discovered a bunch of dinosaur species and became the founder of modern geology. she was a humble sea shell collector/seller who liked fossils.
william herschel, the man who discovered the planet uranus. he was a composer who played the cello and oboe who had no education in astronomy.
srinivasa ramanujan, a man who made a bunch of really big mathematical theorems. he was an impoverished indian teenager who taught himself math from a trigonometry book his parents gave him when he was 11. at 13, he was making these new theorems that no one had even thought of before.
but nice try LOL
