What does it mean to be a human being?
it means nothing, really, other than the fact that we get everything handed to us and don't have to fight to survive anymore. we may be 'smart', we may have these horrid social constructs that make us 'better' than animals, but we trash things and expect someone to clean up our messes for us. that can't always be done and we're worse than animals because of it. we understand the consequences of our actions, yet still continue to do bad things. at least animals act blindly, purely out of survival, totally unaware of what their actions could cause in the big picture.
