Seems like a neat idea! I'm all for people getting paid to create educational materials for fighting games... it's a cause that's rather near and dear to my heart. ;) I watched the Chipp video they did for Guilty Bits and it seemed pretty useful as a high-level overview.

i had to google this to find out what it was.
seems to me to be intended as a loving parody of japanese commentator speech patterns, and i thought it was kind of funny to see how much he got "right" considering he doesn't actually know what they're saying.
i always hate hearing people do their imitation-Asian ching-chongy stuff, because it's one of those things where the humor comes mostly from just pointing out how different Asian languages sound compared to English. so many bad things happen to Asian people in this country because we're considered perpetual foreigners, and jokes like these kind of normalize that.

What's something random about you that people don't know?
i was an insufferable Apple fanboy from about 4th grade through sophomore year of high school -- basically, when Apple was at its absolute lowest. some people have bands they were embarrassed to like; me, i was the worst kind of computer nerd. getting into anime and fighting games was actually a step up in the world for me.

Pancakes or waffles?
Pancakes are godlike. I have a huge soft spot in my heart (and stomach) for shitty fluffy pancakes doused in cheap syrup and butter (think Denny's unlimited pancakes). Frozen waffles are OK though.

nope! i saw a guy pick up a CVS2 cabinet once, out of salt, and once he realized what he was doing he put it down somewhat gently. never seen any fights, though -- i mostly went to UC Berkeley's arcade, and we never had that many brawlers there.

I was doing mostly interviews, but since I started working at Riot I haven't been doing much for SRK myself. It's certainly on my to do list though.

Hell no. Evo is our world championships, especially for Marvel.
