You wake up tomorrow to learn that an ex of yours has written some false and very unfavorable things about you on a site devoted to griping about exes. What do you do?

Probably track down the ex and ask what's up, I guess. I have a hard time imagining this because I tend to date people who are straightforward enough to tell me what they don't like about me rather than talk shit behind my back, and I'm typically not attracted to people who would be prone to this kind of garbage.

In alpha3, you can airblock any projectyle, and even any dp (if it isn't a deep hit). While guard bar add other uses to projectyles, their damange prorates proportionaly to how long it travelled in the screen before connecting. So why you hate 3s so much but like alpha3? :<

Airblocking projectiles doesn't open up offensive options, and jumping gets you killed in A3 for different reasons (helloooo AA VCs). Also, the air tech system actually makes DPs pretty useful, and learning how to land grounded DPs is a worthwhile skill anyway.
In Street Fighter, fireballs don't really have to do damage to control space; they just have to get in the way. Damage makes them more useful, certainly, but even if ST O. Sagat's FBs did chip damage on hit they'd still be immensely useful. In 3s, they don't even get in the way.

Was gonna suggest a cat of some sort but I'm not 100% sure they'd be a "lesser being". So I'll say a praying mantis. Looks cool, real dangerous, and the male of the species gets eaten by the female after mating.

Planning on learning Xrd for sure. (I dropped off from GG after Reload.) Other than that, think my dance card is full with Marvel/SF4/League.

Reading your book right now (like page 30ish) I'm like an intermediate sf player but no where near tournament level yet. Anyways, dumb question but is footsies just being outin sweep range and sweeping them? Or is it more like dancing in your opponents and your range and whiff punishing, sweeps, etc

Not a dumb question -- "footsies" is actually kind of poorly defined in general. But it's the second one -- dancing in and out of range, timing and reading your opponent with your normals, etc.

Seems like being blind would be a small price to pay for what that art could give the world, so, sure. I wouldn't know the "miracle of my own art", but I'd know the world that changed because of it.

Oh, her. We were both interns at a magazine once, a long long time ago; remained good friends. We're both nerds and journalists so we frequently find ourselves in the same place doing nerdy shit (E3, GDC, EVO etc.) together. She probably secretly pines for me but is forced to drown the sorrows of her unrequited affection in the incredibly ripped, tanned arms of her (really cool) husband.

If the Ninja Turtles played fighting games, what games and characters would each probably play?

Leonardo would play SF4, Donatello would play VF, Raphael would play Marvel, and Michaelangelo would get high and just play random poverty games from romsets.

What's the easiest fighting game to get started with?

Few different answers:
Super Turbo (with my book),
The one you want to learn how to play,
The one that has local comp to learn from and play against,
and Divekick.
Any of those are a good starting point IMO.

Honestly the entire BT lineup is pretty dashing. I don't know how Koogy finds models that know how to play fighting games.

I don't think there's a single person I can identify as the hottest girl I've ever met, but my friend Sarah (@geeklil) is so conventionally attractive that I basically get to see how weird people are around pretty girls whenever I hang out with her and that's kind of a pain in the ass.
Hottest guy...I'll have to think about that one.
