Why is my cat balls appear a darker colour than its fur? Should i clean it?

It might be because some of the faeses come in touch with that area, but he will keep it clean himself so you don't have to do anything :)

I have 2 male cats and they always smell each other's butts. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal :) That is how cats get to know each other and learn about each other

Different anon here! What do you mean "fresh"? Is it okay if I freeze fresh meat and then defrost it when I want to give it to my cats? Or do I have to buy fresh and give fresh right away? PS. Thanks for your help, you are the best breeder ever! Please make an eng website for your cattery! Love you!

Thank you :)
By fresh I mean not spoilt/bad meat :) It is absolutely ok to freeze and take out to defrost or give it as it is. Some neutricion will be lost from the freezer so don't be afraid to give a little bit more food or something more that day

How often should i bathe my cats?

You shouldn't do that at all if they don't really need to to get something out of the fur or if you take them to a show. I never give them baths

I have 2 cats LeonO is 1yr and is full of energy and playful Missu is 4yr shy and quiet she don't like to play much since we spayed her. Recently we brought a cat tree and he love it but she don't like it much. How can I engage her to use it?

Try with catnip? If she react to it, she might like to spend some time in the tree. Try to find some way for you to activate her in a way that she likes, and use that by the tree.

ohhh why does a cat have darker hair from furminator? we have a Cream and te ears are orange ragdoll and a bicolor

Im not aure why actually, but when I used it on Kokos she got darker fur from just two times of use. After that I read about it, and that it shouldn't be used for pointed cats

Thank you for answering! We keep the door closed because my bf is in IT, he has 2 computers in the room, both are on overnight and if she jumps on the keyboard she may mess something up :( But I guess I will begin teaching her not to jump on the desks (any advice btw?). Thanks again! :)

Oh I see. Couldn't you get one of those desk that you can close? And just have a tiny bit open to let some air in and out. Or disconnect the mouse and keypad ocer night. Somehow you need to make some change, either open the door and take care of the new (eventual) problems or try and make her happy with the closed door. If you try to let her in and give her toys and stuff she likes, maybe a cozy blanket or bed that she loves, she might not even want to jump up on the desk :)

but I know I shouldn't answer but I can't help it. D: I don't want to wake her up. But I don't pet her or anything, I just lock her in the living room (she can go to the bathroom and food from there). Is it okay or is this still "rewarding the behaviour"? D: (part 2)

Yes, you are rewarding it and that is why she keep doing it. Can't you have the door open? Just because she is meowing as she wants to get in, it isn't always what she want, she just need the door to be open to be able to know where you are. It might be much easier to teach her to not jump up on the bed than to stop the meowing from outside the closed door

I have an 9month ragdoll and she is a joy. But, she does meow sometimes when our room is closed at night (I live with my bf and his mom). The thing is... I can't allow her to wake up my bf's mom (because of her job) so sometimes I have to answer when she is meowing, (part 1)

I will answer to the last part of the question

Do you recommend raw food over wet food for ragdoll kittens? I ask because I am about to get my first ragdoll kitten in a few weeks and she will be 12 weeks old. I am in the US so I would aim to feed my kitten organic meat. Also do you recommend chicken, grass fed beef, lamb, etc? Do you add spices

Raw food and wet food are the best, so you can defenitly give both :) Do not add spices, cat's cannot eat that. All meat is good for cats (as long as it is fresh and well balanced)

how lomg does is need to heal from a castration?

If the cat don't lick or scratch the wounds, it will heal very fast. Depending on the cat's immune system, it mostly take about 1-2 weeks before the wound is completly healed

do you have the FURminator?

Yes, but I only use it for my norwegian forestcat Thea. Ragdolls can get a darker fur from the furminator so I don't recommend it for pointed cats

My cat is itching a lot we tried the food trial, and dust/ pollen trial and Im 80% sure he's allergic to dust based on that but I don't have money to go to the specialist. Do you have suggestions on how to help my cat? I'm thinking of getting a small air purifier

You really need to find the cause of this to help your cat. If your cat is insured, the cost will be covered there (always insure your pets) You can read more about allergies here http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/cat-care/allergies
I hope you will do the right thing and get your cat help so he can be helped <3

my ragdoll named purdy passed away suddenly last Sunday evening, she had undiagnosed FIV, she was 6 yes old, she was a very special girl and we had a close bond, I'm at a loss without her, its so hard... she was a big vocal part of our home, so sudden and so sad. any tips for getting through this? x

Im so very sorry to hear that <3 The best advice I can give you is to really cry over this, let all the feelings out. If you keep them in and push them away they will come out later, only to prolong the process. And write a letter to your cat, telling her what happened and why you can only be with her in spirit for now. As you write this letter, you will tell her about what you are feeling so you can move on from there.
It might hurt for a long time, but you will eventually get over the worst feelings, still without loosing her from your life.
I hope you will feel better soon <3

I'm new to cats, but love them. Do you know any cat breeds that are easily taken care of and simple for beginners?

You can read about different breeds on my website www.catwhisperer.se
It is best to choose a breed that fits your life, that is the easiest to care for :)

Beginner tips how to comfort your cat as They see their new home!

Leave the cat to roam around free to check out the new space and smells, and be with her somewhere nearby and talk to her so she know that she's not alone. If you moved to a new house, it might help to just put the cat's old toys and blankets out so the smell will be familiar.

I don't know how to convince my parents (who are dog people) to let me have a cat. I'm old enough to take full care of it myself but unfortunately where I live its too expensive to move out to live on my own.

Im so sorry to hear that :/ I hope they will come around :)

When getting a cat, how do you know that "this cat" is the one I choose? Do you first have to bond or will the cat choose you? I love your pictures on Instagram! And I hope the cats' litters will be healthy and beautiful!!!

That is a great question and hard to answer :) I have always followed my gut and it has worked so far :) When I have kittens, and get visits from potential buyers, I see that some already knew which kitten they where interested in before they came to us, and some want to see how they feel as they meet them, and also sometimes there are families that leave the choice to me. They tell me about their family, their house and their life and then since I know all my kittens well, I can choose which kitten will be perfect for them. Maybe the family likes to travel a lot and have a busy family life with lots of kids, then I will choose a kitten that is very forward and playful. And for the family that is very quiet and calm, I will choose the best couchpotato of them all :D

Im having a problem with my 2 month old kitten that he has a very bad habit of biting and scratching me and my family members. In the beginning it didn't hurt but now it hurts alot. I know that its not because of anger , anxiety or depression i also give him proper attention. I dont know what to do

To brakenthis habit, you need to be sure to tell the cat that this is not ok to do. Snap with your fingers hard each time and pull away your feet so he will connect the scary sound with the realization that he is doing something bad. And it could be an act of boredom so get some other toys for him, something that makes him play with that instead of your feet :)

How big should a flat with to cats be?

Enough for them to be activated in and still have places to hide and get away from the rest of the apartment noises.
