Is it better to have a cat when it is still a kitten or when it is slightly older?

I have actually wrote an article about this that you should read, that gives you a lot to think about or ask yourself before you buy a cat. I haven't published it on my website yet, but I will.
Basically, it doesn't matter if you don't have a cat already. If you already have a cat I would suggest you get a young cat (up to 2 years old) because he will be more adaptable to his new roomate :)

My cat hates being groomed even though I've tried making it enjoyable by giving him treats after every few strokes

Just keep doing it, and use a calm voice to talk to them while you do it. Don't groom a playful cat, do it after a nice play session :)

Your cats are too damn cute! What sort of comb do you use to brush them? My cat has a brush that he prefers but the other that he doesn't like does a better job of actually brushing him.

I use a steel comb size medium, it takes care of the fur very well and all of my cats enjoy it :)

Do you have some suggestions to how big ore small a cat tree should be And what toys I should have? I want my cat to have some sort of activity toy while I'm in school so that he won't be bored I'm really exited my baby comes to me on Sunday n I want everything to be ready 4 when he comes. :)

The bigger, the better :D Measure how big space you have for a tree and fill that space. It will be totally worth it. It is nice to have one or more platforms to sleep on and maybe some hideouts. And several scratching posts.

If instead of getting Muffin you got a different cat (same markings, breed ect) do you reckon he would be as snuggley as muffin or did you get lucky

Muffin had a very good breeder, which is 95% why he is the way he is :)

Hi how do I learn a 1,5 y old cat to not be in my bed? I'm taking over a nuted boy and I don't want him in my bed. How shall I do this?

You need to give him something better to lay on or to play with while you are in bed, so that he chooses to not be there

He is a boy :) The only boy that lives with me, all others are girls <3

It is very hard to see, but it is not normal that they scream by a touch :/ Something might be wrong. You should call a vet to ask them about it

But there'll always be people buying these carelessly crossbreed cats. While makes them earn money that's why peopl keep doing it. If only it could be banned

I know :/ It is a very vicious cycle. The only thing that can help it a little is to inform people. I get calls from people looking for a kitten and if I have to say no, I always recommend some other breeder and sometimes the person tells me that she don't "need a pedigree breed" I see an opportunity to guide her and just let her know the facts behind what she is supporting by buying a cheap can "off the rack"
I have changed some peoples minds about it and it makes me happy, but I sure wish there where more we could do :(

We are fine :) Kittens loose a set of teeth somewhere between 3-6 months and sometimes after that, just as we do when we are kids :) Nothing to worry about! <3

I have a friend who is mating Norwegian Forest cats with Maine Coons. I would really like for him to STOP doing that. What are the best arguments I can give him?

Oh dear... I'm afraid that the best "warfare" is to give him knowledge of what he is doing wrong. If he instead buy another cat of, let's say NFO, and breed two purebreds instead, then he could register the kittens and sold as purebred cats.
Of course he need to also do the tests needed.
What can you say, ignorance will always destroy what someone else have worked hard to build... :(

I have never heard of that, but they are made to cope with cold weathers. That is why they have three layers of fur :)

hello, my cat is 2months old and he's nose and gingiva becoming white and he has loss of apetite and he is sleepy very much. what do you think about the problem? he likes sitting on the balcony but weather is getting colder here, it can be the cause?

It sounds like there is something going on there, it is impossible for me to know what. You need to take him to the vet so they can exam him to see what they think it could be. It doesn't necessarily need to be something at all but when a cat stops eating, you need to react.

Yes that is right, and they can deliver earlier or later than that too :) I think Zinna might go off on the 62-63rd day or so

I have three long-haired cats; a tabby and white Norwegian Forest Cat with eyes like Thea's, a medium blue Nebelung with bright green eyes, and a white Persian-Siamese mix with yellow-green eyes. What colors would you suggest as backdrops for them? (They'd be photographed individually.)

Actually I couldn't tell you :) I would need to try. That's why I have maybe over 50 different for my cats.
I would suggest to try contrasts like darker or lighter than the cat. And warm colors for the cats that have warm colored coats and cold colors for the cat with cold colored coats. And just buy cheap fabrics to try it out, that's the most fun part :)
