how many litters can a female have in her life? how many do you plan to have with raspberry or zinnamon? And when you neuter your female you will buy another female for breeding?

As a registrered breeder I follow a few rules, one of them is to not have more than 3 litters from one female in a period of 2 years. I plan to breed from Zinna and Berry in between each other so one year it might be 2 litters from Berry and 1 from Zinna and the other way around next year. It is hard to know now, but something like that :) I will make decisions for neutering and retire when the time comes, I might have another living situation that makes me have place for more cats, if so I keep them and buy new females, maybe rehoming is a better choice, we'll see :) Im planning to use them for 5 years and no longer than that

I never see you snuggle with Thea on your pictures.. Doesn't Thea like to snuggle? :(

She snuggles very much but it is not possible to reach for the phone when Im with her, she goes away then so that is why there are not so many photos of us. If I would have one more human in my home I could have someone else take the photos of us :)

How many months is usually a ragdoll male ready to mate? I have one of 7, he's ready but when he mount the female nothing happens. He's trying now for the second heat of the female (13 moths old). :/

Is he 7 months old? I guess that you haven't done the preparing test on him? You have to do that first, when they are about 1 year old. Your male is too young! It is common for males to be "missing the target" at first, they are inexperienced and need to practice :)

Vilken typ av kattgodis kan du rekomendera? Några särskilda märken som brukar sköta sig med ingredienserna? Ger min katt temptations just nu, han älskar det, men det tar emot lite för det känns inte som det bästa för honom

What are the differences between pedigree cats and crossbreed cats? Is there any negative thing about crossbreeds?

There is nothing "wrong" with a crossbreed as far as the surface go. But the parents are most certainly not tested for diseases both genetic and std's so the litter can both have diseases that will give lots of problems from day 1 and diseases that appear later. Often "breeders" of crossbreeds charge a penny for the cats which means that if the new family is not satisfied after a month, the cat will probably be left outside and will be homeless. No one would abandon a cat that they have paid more for. Sad but true. And lots and lots of more difference between a crossbreed and a pedigree :) But it is the "breeder" that is doing wrong, not the person who buy one or the cat itself :)

Ett bestämt NEJ! varje gång och att fortsätta och inte ge upp. För mig tar det ca 2-4 veckor att lära en olärd katt detta och ungarna lär sig redan vid 6-7 veckor. Om det är en äldre katt så kan det ta lite längre tid men bara man fortsätter och inte blir vek så funkar det :)

Hej! Jag har en ragdoll hane på 8 mån. Har lite frågor är min första ragdoll. Han har världens hängmage men de hade han redan som väldigt liten innan vi kastrera han, men han är jätte smal ändå. Vad beror de på?

Det är svårt att säga när jag inte ser magen, men ragdoll har lite hängmage så du behöver inte vara orolig. Och när de kastreras så blir det ännu hängigare :)

Also (I asked the question below about the cat that bites ankles!) I have tried to groom my cat (medium-long fur) with different types of brushes but she hates it - is there any way I can train her to tolerate it? I have tried a soft bristle brush, a wire cat brush, and a 'glove' style rubber brush.

If you keep doing it every week (every day if possible) it will not be long before she's used to it and will love it :) Now that my oldest cat loves it, I can use what ever brush or comb but I would suggest a metal comb for you to start with and get her used to the experience

Hi! I have an 8yr old female rescue cat who occasionally will 'hunt' or chase my legs and feet and attack them, sometimes scratching them badly. How can I prevent this behaviour? Usually I try to distract her with a toy but she still chases me! I have had her for 1yr.

It sounds like an active cat :) Buy toys that activate them and also YEOWWWW catnip toys, that makes them go crazy :) Maybe she will blow off som steam on them

My ragdoll isn't a very high jumper so we let him go around the garden (supervised) but my other cat used to go outside and jump over but it's now a building site over our fence and is no longer a field. Is there any way he can go outside?

I wouldn't recommend that your ragdoll goes outside at all, the breed is a indoor cat so if it is a typical bred ragdoll it is best to keep him inside :)

As a cat breeder myself, I would like to start breeding ragdolls(I currently breed NFO) though I do not think I will be able to get a male ragdoll because of the one un-neutered male I already have.

I wouldn't advice you to buy another male, and you don't really need one if you are just gonna have one female, then it is better to hire stud service :) Best of luck to you <3

I have 2 desexed male cats that hate each other. The young one is the newest member of the household (1 1/2 years) is the aggressor. The older one who is 4 runs and hides from him. At first they got on ok, the older wasn't friendly but didn't fight but now they fight so bad I have to keep them apart

This can be hard to change, but with lots of patience it can work. Do you watch Jackson Galaxy's show My cat from hell? I suggest you watch a few episodes and learn some tricks there about how to deal with aggressive cats.
Take it slow and have much patience, don't slip and stop trying for a while, then you must start over again.

I have had one skinny ragdoll for about two years. He was six months when we got him and he had a horrible home and even brought fleas into our house which the other cats soon got. Anyway, he is skinny compared to our other cats. Is this just his build or is there any way to fatten him up a bit?

Is he neutered? If not, that would be one thing that makes him skinny and worn out. I suggest you give him kitten food for some time until you see any change. And buy lactose free cream and give once a week.
I really hop you can help him get his condition back <3

What type of food or diet you give to a pregnant cat? any supplemets like vitamins or so?

This is different for each lady, but I give kitten food, egg yolks, meat and at the end some cheese with butter. It is best to know your cat and what she likes, and then read about what is good to give them when pregnant :)

I have ragdolls and I know that their colours get darker as they get older, but do NFO change colours? Because I am following Ben on IG so I have seen how his coat is changing.

No they don't change in color, only in coat condition. Benito is smoke (which is silver just as mommy Thea) and as the coat is growing, more of the silver is beeing visible :) That is why he seem to change.

(answering a question above) my cats are frightened only by strangers coming into the house. WIth the family are very social. So how do I make the cats more sociable?

I think that it can be hard. You can try with a friend that each time she comes over, tell her to go down on the floor to play some with you cat before you do anything else. Go get treats that she can give. You have to try to show the cat that strangers in your home is as nice as you are :)

I have four cats but I shut them in the kitchen(it is quite big)at night because they chase each other and run around like crazy but I would really like them to be let out as they don't particularly like it and it would be nice to have a cat at the end of your bed warming your feet:)

I have never heard of that :/ Do they make sound so that you csnnot sleep at night if they aren't locked in the kitchen?
