busy day?

Very lol, was working so had the yard to do, then rode my two, then rode Milly... then there was the yard bbq so we were drunk and eating burgers haha! Just skipped out and got home lol

What level has Vinnie competed to and how much do you think he would be? Xxxxx

If you were seriously interested and wanted to talk pricing you'd get in contact with her but he's jumped competitively and successfully up to 1.30 x

Who out of these people would you let ride Ector: Polly, Mae, Cara, Lauren, Kelly, Kia, Ella, Grace, Gee, Milissa, Libby

Yes, yes, yes, if she wanted to then yeah, no because I'd worry about her leg, no, no, no, yes probs, no, no

last time you rode? what did you do? xxx

Like two and a half hours ago lol, I jumped Ector and let Mae cool him off because she was feeling brave hahahah

Would you ever meet anyone you met on ask/facebook/youtube?

I have done yes and I would again
(Stella where u at my bitch)

Omg Jasper sounds like Jack he jumps in and out of his stable with his tack on, you do his girth up too quick and he'll bronc when he walks forward and can't do stirrups and girth on him or anything on him! Got bronced off gathering my reins the other week;) funfunfun!

Jack finally has another like him!! Don't worry man that means there is 10000000% hope for Jasper because Jack is actually the loveliest horse I've ridden in my life his brain just malfunctions occasionally and he practically wets himself but he's such a talented gentleman! They're two of a kind lmao!!

how many horses you riding atm and what are they like? like heights breed personality etc :)

Wall-E - 16.1hh ISH gelding.. he's super sweet but very technical, easy though in the sense that anybody could get on and walk/trot/canter/pop a fence but to ride him properly he's sooo tricky. He's a gem tho.
Ector - 16.1hh Warmblood gelding. Massive dick, super talented but very stubborn and insanely unpredictable lol, there's nothing I don't love about him though
Razor - 15hh cob x gelding. Razor's a beaut man he gives u a lovely feel when u got him going right but he can throw a buck and a half when he's struggling or finding things difficult. Does try really hard though but his silly little brain just has meltdowns haha, he's so cool and mega talented
Rosie - 14hh Welshie type thing, she's awesome! Schooling her a couple of times a week for a friend, she's a big sweetie but veeeery hot headed and a bit of a raging bull at times bless her. Working on her canter because it's just flat and faaaaast.
Jack - 17.2hh warmblood. I have never ridden a more well-mannered, gentlemanly horse in my life. He's a bit of a freak sometimes though, like he's scared of walking through stable doors with his tack on, u can't do up his girth much when u first put his saddle on or he goes nuts, u can't do your stirrups or girth whilst ur on him or he goes nuts... he gives u the softest most beautiful contact in the world though oh man
Scruffy - 15.1hh gelding, dunno what breed but this little horse is a MACHINE. He's so grumps in his box, he's a bit house proud but he's insanely powerful and super well schooled, just a pleasure to ride in all honesty and his jump is out of this world!

What should I be feeding my laminitec horse?! Someone seys one thing and then I get told something else!

Think u should talk to ur vet or an equine nutritionist yo, it's a mine field out there n professional advice is the way forward

the commentary on the vid you put up the other day is so funny!! why does the girl think that you'll day haha? and why does someone say about trusting him being a laugh lol? either way, cool horse!!!

I take it you mean die and not day haha! She thinks I might die every time I ride him bless her. He's a bit of turd in all honesty, poor sausage. It doesn't look like in that video but he's veeeery fast and strong! And as for trusting him, when he stopped my instructor (who also owns Ector) was shouting "YOU TRUSTED HIM, WHERE WAS YOUR LEG!" which was a mistake on my behalf lol, I put the leg on too late because I *was* trusting him lmao, a bad decision because anyone who knows that horse knows that you do not put your faith in him, he's a sly shit head when he wants to be lol!

Do you have more shows planned? xx

Taking Wall's to Sophie Brown's show next week, but other than that nothing set in stone. Oh, and taking Wall-E and Ector schooling to Parwood on the 5th June with a bunch of people from the yard which will be nice!

why did mae ride wall-e on the lead rein at the show lol?Xxxxxx

She was going to ride him just normally but he was very anxious bless him. I had done a class before and he was just so tense and really unimpressed at the prospect of go-rounds etc so we just lobbed him in judge's choice then cracked up laughing like shall u ride and do lr instead of just clinging onto him in-hand and that's the way it was... so funny lmao, love 'em both!

most difficult thing about riding your horse?

Wall's is easy to just sit on and mooch about with, but if you want to actually *ride* him and get a decent tune out of him he's really tricky because he's over sensitive.. too much of one rein or closing your leg on a bit too long can piss him off.. he ends up tail swishing, hollowing or bucking if you're really lucky haha.
Ector's difficult because he's stubborn and largely unpredictable - I'm talking you're having a nice walk around holding the buckle and letting him stretch then suddenly you're clinging on whilst being chucked about left right and centre haha. He's also pretty sensitive to where your leg position is. If it's wrong he changes leg constantly lmao

what did you get up to today with the horses?

Well I was working, so I got there and Sam had already fed, so turned out my lot, made the evening nets and mucked out my half of the yard.. Then Wall's had physio and pamper tidy up day so he had his legs clipped, mane and tail pulled and beardy tidied up. Then I took Ector for a bit of circuit training round the field. Brought in the liveries then I was in the mood for tidying/trimming so Ector also received a mane and tail pull. :-)

what saddle do you have? what is your favourite brand?

Ector has a great many, currently switching between his Stubben and Pariani jump saddles
Wall's has a Kent & Masters GP and a thorowgood dressage
I like devocoux and CWD though!

plans with your horses? xxxx

I'm just taking each day as it comes haha and schooling them up in the way that they each need

Who is your favourite out of the three famous irish yters? (ally, Lauren and Gemma) xx

Eh, erm Gemma I guess

is cordy hard to ride? xxxx

Nah not as such. Just a bit dominant so he has a stubborn streak which makes him partial to the odd tantrum but it's never anything you can't push him through. He's quite unbalanced so you have to really help him with your upper body but other than that hes super sweet and got a really nice trainable attitude x

how to stop a horse hanging off the inside rein?

Make sure they're bitted correctly and their teeth are alright first :) Failing that, look at yourself and make sure you're not sat wonky and blocking his inside hind from steppin through... if you're still having no luck then u try exercises like turn on the forehand and spirals to lighten up the horses front end and engage the inside hock x

Oh such a hard life for you having to only groom and ride one of your horses. Youre so lucky

Well considering I work at the yard they are kept at, I muck out the horse on part livery anyway lol. It's just that if I have a day off, I don't have to do him as well haha

Aren't your horses at livery though? Doesn't somebody else take care of them?

They're kept at a livery yard yeah and one of them is on part but I still have to groom and ride him and the other is on DIY

Do you go to the barn everyday?

Usually yes. If I'm lucky I get a one day a week to myself where I can just laze about like a sloth and stay in bed
